The “progressive” does not care about Americans.

They do not care about the dim bulb, buck toothed flyover American’s life. They do not care about the Liberties of slope headed inferiors who bitterly cling to their Bibles and guns. Nor are “progressives” concerned with how Neanderthal hayseeds define the pursuit of happiness.

What “progressives” care about is ruling over the people who populate a country called the United States of America.

Note: ruling over, not governing.

The underlying, unflinching, insistent “progressive” belief is that Americans unknowingly adhere to a fatally flawed, unjust, reprehensible system of government that must be replaced by one envisioned by the superior intellect embodied within the “progressive” mind.

To their bone marrow the “progressive” believes that the American free market capitalist system is patently unfair to the masses. Most do not enjoy the privileges of those who rise to the top. The disparity of income distribution is “unfair” and must be rectified through “progressive” economic reform. In the mind’s eye of a “progressive, the key to a more equitable system lies in “progressive” taxation upon those who succeed, and a redistribution of their wealth to those who have been “less fortunate.”

The success of such a scheme depends upon the existence of a government big enough and strong enough to take what it wants from the successful and give it to “the needy.” The flaw in the system that “progressives” never explain to “the needy” is that a government big enough to give them everything they need is also big enough to take it away from them…especially if that government is big enough and powerful enough to force the successful, who achieved their status through hard work, discipline, intelligence, resourcefulness and adaptability to surrender their wealth to the collective.

To the “progressive” mind, the United States Constitution is an outdated document written by selfish, rich, white slave holders that has long since outlived its usefulness. It is beyond repair. The only solution to such a predicament is to “progress” beyond the Constitution.

Of course, it matters not to “progressives” that the U.S. Constitution, as written by America’s founders, is completely capable of revisiting issues that remained unresolved at the time of its ratification by the original thirteen states. Any child enrolled in a halfway decent political science class knows that the Constitution has been amended twenty seven times.

The “progressive” political modus operandi is: The ends justify the means.

There is nothing Liberal about “progressives.” Were the great William F. Buckley Jr. alive today, it is not hard to imagine that his famous quote: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views” might well have been assigned to those who now label themselves as “progressives.”

This is the danger America is facing in the twenty first century. To say it is an existential threat is neither hyperbole nor fabrication.

Those who once described themselves as Liberals, have deliberately chosen to openly pattern their political ambitions and behaviors after the political ambitions and behaviors practiced by early twentieth century “progressives.”

What an outstanding article, Michael. The progressive mind with their desire of total control of everyone else, is quite the scary thing to behold. What we have witnessed over the past 4 years, since they took off their masks, is truly frightening! We can never give up! To hear the man that occupies the White House go to Mexico and blame America once again for their ills, blew my mind today! Just when you think you have heard it all, you haven't. He seems to try to outdo himself on a daily basis.

Like the father who abandoned him as a child, "emperor barry hussein the first" hates any country he believes is a colonial power.  Be it Great Britain or the United States, he seeks to diminish their standing on the world stage.  To this end, he has devoted his efforts to undermining the USA through disasterous domestic and foreign policies.

Great column, Michael.  Obama has already positioned things so that the next president, most likely a Republican, will be blamed for the condition in which he leaves the country!  Progressives have been giving to the perceived needy for nearly a century.  It will be tough to reverse, but we must if we are to survive.

In the words of my good friend Evan Sayet in his marvelous book "The Kindergarden of Eden, How the Modern Liberal Thinks and Why He's Convinced That Ignorance is Bliss":

We are at a tipping point where the people of God and science will soon be overwhelmed by the demands of taking care of the permanently infantilized.  It is unsustainable.  If the system collapses under the weight, the future is not merely a slightly less wonderful existence, it is a return to what life had been like for the overwhelming majoriy of people in all other times and all other places- and still is for those in lands where the balance between God and science does not well exist.  That life was described by Thomas Hobbes as "nasty, brutish and short."

We're not there yet, but we're close.

we know the problem, we need an answer and quickly.  starts with boehner getting a backbone or face an outraged public outcry.  starts with issa putting his foot down once and for all.  starts with cruz keeping the public informed and standing up to reid.  it all starts at once as a movement, a push back.

Great article Michael. Progressive is just another name for communist. We see what is happening, and the question is, what are we going to do about it? We can continue to vote, however, it appears that the "progressives" will continue to use corruption and fraud to get their candidate elected, and they have gotten away with it so far.

We need reps with guts, and those reps are all but none existent in congress at this time. I like Ted Cruz, but can we trust any of them after Marco Rubio's back room conversion? Rubio is not the only one to move left of center, and that is disturbing.

In the election coming up in 2014, there are republicans that are dropping out of the race. Republicans like Iowa Rep. Steve King. It is reported that a democrat,Rep. Bruce Braley is in the lead thus far,in that state and he has raised over a million dollars, compared to King's $93,000. Are we lost? Have we given up the fight?

I am frustrated beyond belief at the fact that conservative patriots have been all but silent concerning the corruption going on in our country. By silent, I mean we are no longer in the streets rallying against the evil that is progressives. I am one of those people, so I am not throwing stones, just asking for ideas. I believe that our fight is going to have to start locally, and spread from each community, and throughout our individual states.

It's disturbing that some tea party favorites, like Rubio, have moved to the dark side. Elite, main stream media never passes up an opportunity to share where a former conservative leaning republican rep has come out for gay marriage, or in favor of amnesty for illegals, or any number of the progressive agenda.

We are under attack, all that we stand for that is good, and if we do not get out there and fight, we will lose our country.
