~ Where the Sun Will Never Set on Our liberty ~
Just wanted to let you all know in case I'm absent on and off.
Rick's cancer is getting much worse. He just had a PET scan and his lymph nodes are much larger throughout his body (some the size of a baseball)He has new ones with cancer in them also.
I had a new MRI of my neck and my herniated disks are worse and I need surgery which I can't get because I won't be able to take care of Rick.
To add to it, my father-in-law, Ricks Dad just had 2 strokes and is in the hospital. 87 years old. He can't see much now or walk. You just can't make this stuff up!
Thanks Doug! To add to it, my father-in-law, Ricks Dad just had 2 strokes and is in the hospital. 87 years old. He can't see much now or walk. You just can't make this stuff up!
Sorry to hear this Robin. Will keep praying. Don't give up!
Thanks so much, Watchman! :)
You continue to be in my prayers, Robin! Rick too! Love you both tons! <3
Thank you, girlfriend! Love you bunches!
Dang it Robin. Sorry to hear it. I wish Rick, you and Rick's dad all the best. Hang tough. Prayers for you all.
I'm hanging in here. Don't know how, but, I am. Thanks, Gris! I appreciate it very much.
Robin...I am so sorry to hear of your family's struggles. Sometimes, life just seems so unfair and coping becomes really damn difficult.
I will pray the Lord provides strength to you, Rick and your Dad-in-law and that He will bring peace to your hearts because worry can become truly unbearable.
Thank you so much, Jodi for your prayers and hugs! Life sure can throw some stuff at you. Just wish it wasn't all at once. Hugs, Girlfriend!
I want to apologize for my absence. Since my father-in-laws 2 strokes 6 weeks ago, things have been insane and I am exhausted!
He was in the hospital for a week, then transferred to Bacharach Rehab Acute care unit for over 2 weeks. Once they decided they could not do anything more for him there, they were trying to force us to put him in a nursing home! We refused to do that as he wanted to be in his own home.
I have been dealing with the home care visiting therapists and nurses ever since. Which I ended up getting rid of because they were horrible.
We have hired OUR OWN private duty, round the clock nurses to be in his home with him. I have been between my home caring for Rick and at my father-in-laws all the time.
As I said, I am exhausted! Things should be a bit calmer now that we have our own nurses.
Love and miss you all!
I'm so sorry I haven't kept in touch with you I had some problems but nothing compared to you. I've been praying for you and Rick. I'll continue to do so and add Ricks Dad to my prayer list.
