~ Where the Sun Will Never Set on Our liberty ~
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A bill authored by a Southland lawmaker that could potentially allow the federal government to prevent any Americans who owe back taxes from traveling outside the U.S. is one step closer to becoming law.
Wow, I am not against folks paying what they owe, but there are enough times the IRS says someone owes when in fact they do not.
And what is it doing in a highway bill? Or did I read it wrong?
Can you imagine not being able to return home if you leave the country and owe back taxes? Of course illegals will be exempt and can still enter whenever they wish.
They have a tendency to hide things in other bills that they know no one will read and that would never pass on its own.
"They have a tendency to hide things in other bills that they know no one will read and that would never pass on its own."
Yeah! This crap needs to stop.
Great point about the illegals coming in at will while Americans may be denied re-entry.
As for this being hidden, I know that they do that all the time, and it just boggles my mind how unrelated laws get written into one piece of legislation.
