Ask Yourself These Questions to Reveal Your Level of Preparedness. #PrepperTalk #Survival

Hello everyone,

I thought this was a thought provoking article worth sharing with you all.  It not only makes you think about what supplies you might need to acquire, but also what type and length of emergencies you are truly prepared to endure.

Here is a link to that article:  http://www.glennbeck.com/2015/12/01/ask-yourself-these-four-questio...

Thanks Raht. Really good questions. I can say that our family is not where it needs to be when it comes to being prepared.

Hi Kwicgov,

Yeah, I am nowhere near where I would like to be, and am fairly low in their ranking on that article.  However, I also do not think it is necessary to qualify for all aspects of their level 5 either.  I am somewhere between a 2 & 3 on their list.  My knowledge and skills are what I look to increase more than anything right now.

We all have to start somewhere, and with your help, it gives us that starting point.

I'm glad my effort proved to be helpful.  Thanks Kwic, that means a lot.  :-)

I too, am somewhere between 2 and 3, with some of 4 and 5, mainly because we have the farm.

Your farm is a great asset JG.  :-)  It is considerably harder for people to have some of the supplies necessary when they live in a city apartment.

Thanks, Rahthrae.  We are truly blessed.  We raise our own chickens, and I really want to show my son how to dress one.  I don't really like doing it, so I pay a small sum to an Amish lady.  I can do it, and feel I should pass the knowledge on.

Great post and a lot to think about and still a lot left to do! I tweeted this out & did a checkout too, Rahth! ;)

Good mornin', darlin'.

This looks not unlike the shelves in the Russkie stores, eh?

Thanks Robin.  For the near future, my situation has me focusing more on knowledge than on supplies.  Gear I have had covered for quite some time.  My hope is that with things being as they are in the world, that this article causes people to give an honest assessment of where they are, where they feel they need to be, and what they have to do to get there.  It's always been a marathon more than a sprint.  For those that have not started by now, I do not know how long it will remain a marathon so perhaps this article will spur people to action before it becomes a sprint for them in which they can not reach the finish line.  This is not to say that the process is ever finished, because it should be an ongoing process as part of a lifestyle.

You're welcome Rahth and THANK YOU! I'm pretty good on gear too thanks to you! After yesterday, I would like to think that people will see the serious situation this country is really in and see the need to be better prepared! No, the process is never finished, is it? ;)

Robin, it certainly becomes less about buying a few certain things, and becomes a way of life.  We've been gifted with many warning signs over the years.  Folks had better heed them.
