LIBERAL POLITICS FAIL... BECAUSE OF ENGLISH

LIBERAL POLITICS FAIL... BECAUSE OF ENGLISH

And no, French, Italian, Mandarin or Russian would not be better. The problem is the belief of liberals and many US voters that just because something is said, then it must be true. But people can say anything from great ideas to total rubbish. And if at first they do not succeed, then they scream louder. If that does not work then they get the media to say the same things. If that does not work, then they use the same language to call the opposition names. And nothing seems to get solved. And no one seems to ever know the truth.

You might think that there is no choice, but there is. I was about one third of the way through my career in corporate industry when I realized that there indeed was a common language there. But it was not English, it was math. To be more precise, it was performance. Basically regardless of my title, my bosses would just smile at me until there was proof. You needed to present a logical approach to even get a chance. And after that, it was performance, proved by math, logic, valid history and ethics. It seemed to me when one does it that way, there is much less confusion. And to be blunt, none of us really cared that much what another said in industry regardless of title. It was what they did and proved.

SPORTS, INDUSTRY, POLICE and more seem to mainly use PERFORMANCE or MATH if you wish

Consider a football game, and I have seen the below scenario many times. At the beginning of the game the announcers using "English" may say that Team A is going to just wipe the field with Team B. Well, are they right? I think about 50% of the time. So English might be okay 50% of the time and misleading or wrong the other 50%. But if during the game Team B scores 5 touchdowns and the score is now 35 to 0, all of a sudden I hear a change in the announcers. They always knew it was Team B that would win! So what is happening here? Reality is judged by performance, and often math. The math in this case is 5 touchdowns 35 points to 0. Math decides who wins, not the English words of the announcers. Words are cheap. Touchdowns are not. And yes, the referees can mess things up, but they do not always determine the outcome of the game. The players and math and performance does - at least mostly.

Industry was no different it seemed to me. At times I was given a group that had not been doing well and my job was to fix it. Unlike Obama I did not mind. I did not cry. I did not blame the person before me. But neither do others. I was not special. What did I do? I used math and performance. Day 1 I would write down on a wall or at least on paper the main status of this group - profit, delivery, cost, quality and more. And my job was to make those numbers better. If I did and could show it by math, I got raises and promotions. If the numbers got worse, I would be fired. We all knew the rules. But no one really cared what English words were used such as "Well, I am really great you know... it was the fool before me....it was the Japanese Tsunami". Very few people buy that garbage in sports or in industry. And I believe other fields also run on performance, such as Police, Military and more.

Liberal Politicians amaze me that they think they can say something and we will believe them. Why? Would we believe a baseball player batting 0.000? Would we believe a quarterback who never wins a game? Words are cheap.

Using math and finance, I would have to say that the best president of the last four by far was Bill Clinton who worked with Republicans and actually balanced the budget and made small profit his last four years. Bush at times had decent logic, but did run up deficits averaging perhaps 500 billion a year. No one seems to say this, but the Bush drop in taxes in 2003 did get more income, adding almost another trillion to US income between 2003 to 2007, and in 2007 Bush had recovered much of the loss of the two 2001 recessions and was quite close to break even. Obama is two to three times worse than Bush in unemployment and in deficit. Obama is by far the worst of the last four presidents. That is what the numbers say. That is what one would see if they believed in math and performance. As to what the talking heads on TV say, well, it seems far different than that.

Does not our country deserve better than "the best BS wins? or the loudest BS wins?"

RN, As you and I both know the BS always wins. Most corporate (or political) leaders were salesmen in some way. The facts mean very little. And for the most part, these idiots believe what they say!
