7 Most Hypocritical Things Republicans Have Said About Obamacare Repeal
They never really wanted to repeal Obamacare.
Here are the seven most hypocritical things Republicans have said about Obamacare repeal.
1. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) stated that she wouldn't vote for the Obamacare repeal bill despite voting for the same bill in 2015. In her statement on Tuesday, Murkowski stated that a repeal-only bill would cause "confusion and greater uncertainty":
But after Barack Obama vetoed a bill repealing Obamacare in January 2016, Murkowski issued a statement that read:
President Obama’s veto is disappointing of course, but not surprising. The President is once again ignoring the will of the people.
2. Sen. Shelly Moore Capito (R-WV) said on Tuesday that she couldn't vote for a Obamacare repeal bill because it would "hurt people." She didn't feel that way in 2015.
But in 2015, when Capito voted for the same bill, she said:
Americans deserve a health care system that works for them and Obamacare is not it. I have consistently voted to repeal and replace this disastrous health care law, and I am glad that a repeal bill will finally reach the president’s desk,’
3. Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) is suddenly concerned about Obamacare repeal after championing his vote for it in 2015.
Portman seemed to recognize that in 2015, when he voted in favor of the same bill:
I’m pleased to vote to repeal it today and will continue to work to replace it with health care reform that is patient-centered and consumer driven that decreases costs and increases access to quality, affordable care.
Senator Tim Scott goes on twitter rant about Obamacare repeal and replace
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott took to Twitter today to air out his arguments on why repealing Obamacare isn’t easy, but why it must be done:
He’s right, repealing Obamacare isn’t easy because it has grown roots. But that’s also why the repeal wouldn’t go into effect immediately.
The problem is that too many Republicans don’t actually want to repeal it. They claimed they did to get elected, but they really didn’t mean it. To them it’s easier to get reelected if they leave parts of Obamacare in place so they can say they’ve done ‘something’ rather than to do the politically hard work of actually repealing Obamacare and putting in a replacement that makes coverage available to everyone who wants it without subsidizing it.
Tim Scott has the right attitude here and I’m more than certain that he isn’t part of the problem. There’s a whole bevy of conservative Senators who would do the right thing because they told us they would and he’s one of them.
Read his 'rant'.
Head of Border Patrol Union: 'Energy' Among Agents Is Best I've Ever Seen
Morale among U.S. Border Patrol agents is at an all-time high, the president of the National Border Patrol Council said today.
Brandon Judd, the union's president, said agents felt hamstrung for years under the Obama administration's catch-and-release policies at the border.
"Whether you're in the left, right or middle, you have to say this president has done exactly what he's promised to do," said Judd, pointing out the huge drop in apprehensions at the border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said this month that apprehensions have fallen to a six-year low, likely due to President Trump's aggressive enforcement and promises to deport those who enter the U.S. illegally.
Judd said there is now a "vibe and an energy" among Border Patrol officers that he has never seen in his 20-year career.
Washington to send Texas National Guard $2.3M for border security
Washington will also take control over the 100 guardsmen stationed along the Texas-Mexico border who had been sent there as part of the state’s border security campaign. (Depending on their mission, National Guard units take orders from either the president or the governor.)
Gov. Greg Abbott framed the news as a sign that the federal government is finally recognizing Texas’ role in handling a surge in asylum-seeking immigrants from violence-stricken Central American countries that began in the summer of 2014 and overwhelmed immigration authorities.
Pelosi Reads False Account of Those Who Signed the Declaration of Independence
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) was attempting to give a history lesson on the 56 men who signed the U.S. Declaration of Independence on Tuesday, but ended up reading a piece that had previously been proven to contain several inaccuracies.
The discredited piece, titled "The Price They Paid," was a popular essay circulating around the internet on Independence Day. The article outlines the fates of those who signed the Declaration of Independence, but according to the fact checkers at Snopes, "many of its details are inaccurate."
Pelosi went on to read the account inaccurately describing the fates of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence.
After she finished reading, Pelosi called on the audience to "ponder the sacrifices so many people made at the start of our country."
"Understand what our responsibility is to protect what so many people sacrificed so much to achieve for our country," Pelosi said.
Can the Dems really afford to be losing any more members?
Vid (2:51) “Obama was fanatical about his workouts.” Fanatical? More like hysterical. Watch.

First bicycle tax in nation leaves bike-crazy Oregon riders deflated
Democratic Gov. Kate Brown is expected to sign the sweeping $5.3 billion transportation package, which includes a $15 excise tax on the sale of bicycles costing more than $200 with a wheel diameter of at least 26 inches.
BikePortland publisher Jonathan Maus called it “an unprecedented step in the wrong direction.”
“We are taxing the healthiest, most inexpensive, most environmentally friendly, most efficient and most economically sustainable form of transportation ever devised by the human species,” Mr. Maus said.
Yeah, yeah…we know…you’re the greatest bunch of people on earth, but waddaya wanna do, tax the sick, the poor...the illegals?? I’ve been waiting for a bike tax for quite awhile.
DC Comics Reboots Snagglepuss as 'Gay, Southern Gothic Playwright'
Heavens to Murgatroyd! Does every cartoon character need to be revamped for “the current year"?
You might be familiar with Snagglepuss, aka America’s favorite pink cartoon mountain lion, from his wacky and family-friendly adventures during his 32-episode series as seen on The Yogi Bear Show since 1961. If you’ve ever wanted to see classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters like Wally Gator and Quick Draw McGraw back in the limelight for a new generation to enjoy, take a look at how DC Comics has drastically changed Snagglepuss for his upcoming comic book series that is set to debut this autumn:
Comic book writer Mark Russell has retooled Snagglepuss’s story from a wild mountain lion doing his best to spruce up his drab cavern alongside his girlfriend (what, you never heard of Lila? Look it up!), into one where the big cat is focused on dealing with his sexuality and how homosexuals are perceived through the lens of 1950s America:
Minnesota cop who shot dead Justine Diamond named
Mohamed Noor reached over and shot Justine Damond, 40, multiple times from the passenger seat of his squad car while she spoke to his colleague on the drivers side in a back alley behind her upscale Minneapolis home.
Both officer's bodycams were off and the squad car camera not recording, but an audio exchange between dispatch and the officers involved captures the chilling moments directly after she was killed at around 11.30pm on Saturday.
Noor, who joined the Minneapolis Police in March 2015, has reportedly had three complaints made against him in two years - including a lawsuit.
Two are from 2017 and one from 2016 is closed and according to Lou Raguse of Kare 11 is marked 'not to be made public'.
'He came to the United States at a young age and is thankful to have had so many opportunities. He takes these events very seriously because, for him, being a police officer is a calling. He joined the police force to serve the community and to protect the people he serves. Officer Noor is a caring person with a family he loves and he empathizes with the loss others are experiencing.
'The current environment for police is difficult, but Officer Noor accepts this as part of his calling. We would like to say more, and will in the future. At this time, however, there are several investigations ongoing and Officer Noor wants to respect the privacy to the family and asks the same in return during this difficult period.'
3 complaints in a short amount of time, 2 of them women, he’s a Muslim from Somalia….hmmm.
SPEAKING OF MUSLIMS...
Extremist Islamic leader compares the extermination of six million Jews during the Holocaust to the way Muslims are treated now
A leader of a hardline Islamist group has compared the treatment of Muslims to the massacre of millions of Jewish people during the Holocaust.
Muslims have become an 'existential threat' in the world today, Hizb ut-Tahrir media representative Hamzah Qureshi was recently recorded telling fellow group members.
The growing fear of Islam is comparable to Germany's declaration that the Jewish people 'needed to go entirely' almost 70 years ago, Mr Qureshi argued.
University Offers To Pay For Faculty Attending ‘Overcoming Islamophobia’ Workshop
A Wisconsin university announced Monday that it will cover costs for its faculty to attend an anti-Islamophobia workshop, and will offer a graduate credit for attendees that also submit a written assignment.
“Many recent polls have shown an upsurge of hate crimes against Muslims and Muslim institutions since the beginning of the presidential campaign, and again after the president took office and launched (now three) variations of the Muslim ban that he promised on the campaign trail,” Janan Najeeb, president of the Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition, told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
An ‘upsurge’? Is she including the hoaxes?
Apparently those sweetheart buyout deals for government workers weren’t plush enough
There’s been an update in the ongoing saga of the EPA “buyout” program which was announced earlier this year (though it immediately spread to other departments). In order to facilitate the cutbacks at the agency, they originally announced that various packages were being put together to “convince” some of the government workers to leave. These included early retirement options far in advance of when they should have qualified and significant cash buyouts of up to $25K for those who had only been there for a few years.
It wasn’t just the EPA either. The same thing was happening at other executive branch agencies. We later learned that the initial talks had hit a rocky patch and the agency was working with the unions to develop memorandums of understanding in an effort to “persuade workers to leave their jobs.” (Wait… what?) That was enough to enrage many in the private sector who learned about it, so clearly the government saw the need for a correction. And what was that, you might ask? Why, they decided to up the incentives to get people to leave.
The data is "totally inconsistent with published and credible" data.
Intern educated under Obama Common Core?
That’s everybody in the US plus about 1.77 billion imaginary ones.
It appears Angela Merkel has decided that there is no limit to the number of refugees they will accept:
WATCH: Watters Spars With Protester from Violent ANTIFA Group
"What about when an ANTIFA member stabbed a police horse in the neck with a knife," Watters continued. "Was the horse a racist Trump supporter?"
"Yes," the protester said.
"I didn't know horses could vote," Watters chuckled.
The protester added that the horse is a tool of the police, who have been "increasingly racist and xenophobic" under the Trump administration.
Phil Donahue on Trump’s Presidency: ‘Darkest Political Moment in American History’
Previously, Donahue described Trump supporters as this: "They’re all white—almost exclusively… they're scared, and they're very angry.”
But the Donahue zinger of the day was this: “All of a sudden we got a crotch-grabber for a president.”
Reebok Slams Trump in New Ad – Decides Conservative Dollars Are No Longer Wanted
With this tweet Reebok did three things.
1.) They condemned complementing women
2) They trashed President Donald Trump for complimenting the French President’s wife.
3.) The decided they no longer want conservatives to purchase their products.
Thank you Reebok for being up front and honest.
Are you aware that conservatives control 60% of the purchasing power in America?
But he still beats Killary.
Hypocrites, one and all!
Thanks, Kwic. :)
