The Left Embraces Political Violence
It did not take very long to get from “Punch a Nazi!” to “assassinate a congressman.”
A great deal of spittle has been deployed in the debate over whether or to what extent the Left’s recent indulgence of its penchant for violent rhetoric can be linked to the shooting of Representative Steve Scalise and other members of a Republican congressional baseball team by an angry Democratic activist and Bernie Sanders partisan. But the relevant question here is not violent rhetoric but violence itself. The violence at Berkeley and Middlebury did not lead to the shooting in Alexandria — they are part of the same phenomenon: The American Left has embraced political violence.
More precisely, the Left has embraced “anarcho-tyranny.” The anarcho part: Progressives including mainstream Democrats have embraced the sort of violence that has been directed against the likes of Charles Murray as an instrument of liberationist politics. Representative Val Demings, a Democratic congressman from Florida, shared her view that the riots greeting Milo Yiannopoulos at Berkeley were “a beautiful sight.” After a physical attack on white nationalist Richard Spencer, Jeremy Binckes of Salon wrote: “Maybe the question shouldn’t be, ‘Is it okay to punch a Nazi?’ but, ‘If you don’t want to be punched in the face, maybe you shouldn’t preach Nazi values to the public?’” A lively debate about the ethics of using violence to suppress certain political views ensued. Short version: Free speech did not experience a runaway victory.
Things are worse on campus. The editorial board of the Daily Californian defended blackshirt violence on the grounds that, without it, “neo-Nazis would be free to roam the streets of Berkeley.” The argument that people who hold unpopular political opinions should be physically unsafe — that they should be subject not to social exclusion or criticism but to violence, afraid to roam the streets — is textbook totalitarianism.
So, on the one hand, we have the modern answer to the beer-hall brawlers of the 1930s, and on the other hand, we have powerful political figures working to criminalize dissent. The same people who have spent the past 30 years cooking up ever-battier campus speech codes want to do the same thing for society at large in the form of so-called hate-speech regulation.
They do this partly because they intend to win and to rule. They also do it because they have convinced themselves that we are in a state of national crisis, and that the dark shadow of fascism in descending on the United States. In reality, the only thing resembling a genuine totalitarian movement in American politics is the progressive camp from which emerged the man who shot Steve Scalise.
Once you’ve accepted political violence as a legitimate tool in the context of American democracy — once you have concluded that the decision to use violence is only a matter of strategy, as Slavoj Žižek insists — then progress from pepper spray and bicycle locks to rifles and bombs is neither very long nor very difficult to anticipate.
And here we are.
20 Liberal Calls for Violence Against Republicans
The Left needs to dial it back a notch. Okay, about twenty notches.
1) "Michele (Bachmann), slit your wrist. Go ahead... or, do us all a better thing [sic]. Move that knife up about two feet. Start right at the collarbone." -- Montel Williams
2) “F*ck that dude. I’ll smack that f*cker’s comb-over right off his f*cking scalp. Like, for real, if I met Donald Trump, I’d punch him in his f*cking face. And that’s not a joke. Even if he did become president — watch out, Donald Trump, because I will punch you in your f*cking face if I ever meet you. Secret Service had better just f*cking be on it. Don’t let me anywhere within a block.”– Rapper Everlast on Donald Trump
3) “I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow….I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.” — Bill Maher
4) “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health-care reform. I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their “Obama Plan White Slavery” signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.” — The Washington Post’s Courtland Milloy
5) “F*** God D*mned Joe the God D*mned Motherf*cking plumber! I want Motherf*cking Joe the plumber dead.” — Liberal talk show host Charles Karel Bouley on the air.
And that's just the first few (read the next fifteen here). Hawkins goes on to write, "The most prominent liberals in America regularly accuse conservatives of being racist, sexist, Nazis, fascists who want children to die and are killing the planet and ruining the environment all because of their hate of the poor and minorities. Liberals today aim a nastier stream of propaganda at Republicans than America did at the Nazis; so is it any wonder that some people take the next logical step and become violent?"
This List Of Attacks Against Conservatives Is Mind Blowing
Police Investigating Letters With White Powder Sent To Homes Of Georgia Republican And Her Neighbors
Concurrent with the Wednesday shooting of GOP Rep. Steve Scalise, former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel, who is running against Democrat Jon Ossoff in a hotly-contested 6th Congressional District Special Election, has been targeted along with her neighbors by letters containing a white powdery substance and calling Handel a "dirty fascist."
The verbiage in the letters was foul:
Handel, who was the first Republican to serve as her state’s Secretary of State, said, "This afternoon we had some suspicious packages delivered to our house and to our neighbors. The packages contained threatening letters and a suspicious substance. The police were quickly notified and street is now being blocked off. We will continue to coordinate with law enforcement as necessary."
Handel is a hard-core conservative; here are some statements showing how staunch a conservative she is for 2017:
“It is not the federal government’s role to dictate health care choices and decisions to Americans.”
“I think that for a child to be in a household — in a family in a household with a situation where the parents are not married, as in one man and one woman, is not the best household for a child … I’ve made it abundantly clear that I think that marriage is between a man and a woman.”
“The bad guys have to be stopped. One of the 1st steps in stopping them is ending government funding to Planned Parenthood.”
GROSS: 'Fusion' Taunts Republican Steve Scalise While He Fights For His Life
After House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot in the hip by a crazed Bernie Sanders supporter, the outlet sought to taunt the Republican who is in critical condition fighting for his life.
"Bigoted homophobe Steve Scalise's life was saved by a queer black woman," reads the Fusion headline.
Branigin equated Scalise's support for traditional marriage with LGBT hatred.
Scalise has also been described as one of the most anti-LGBTQ politicians in Washington. He’s voted against LBGTQ rights over and over again. He also authored Louisiana’s ban on same-sex marriage. Like many of his ilk, he said he was only trying to protect “traditional” marriage.
The take-away: "So it is a point of especially delicious irony that Scalise, who survived the attack (and is reportedly in critical condition), may owe his life to a queer black woman," she writes, referring to heroic Capitol Police officer Crystal Griner.
Pretty vile stuff.
Our Treasonous Media Is a Clear and Present Danger
…Our danger comes from another area. Weak presidents, mentally slow representatives, and various functionaries who are not so much incompetent as on the other side -- all of them pale before the risk our media presents.
In the rest of the world, even conservative people buy the urgency of global warming, for instance, and are willing to put up with nonsense restrictions in the name of stopping it. I’ve given up on arguing it with my family because it’s just not worth my time. “Everyone says it” so it must be true. In the same way, my relatives in Europe believe a whole lot of impossible nonsense, such as lifestyles in Russia are at the same level as in the U.S. Or that people in China live better than we do. Not worth the argument.
Still, even in the heyday of mass media, before there were blogs, the U.S. never fully bought the narrative pushed, wholesale, by news media, entertainment, literature, and arts. If we had, we’d never have elected Reagan. Call this the result of being the descendants of misfits and never-fit-ins, the goats pushed out from every other country or who left before they could be kicked out. (Me.)
And now we have blogs. The dominance of the mass media in the U.S. is a sometime thing. Oh, sure, they can still push their pap at old people and millennials, but their hold on the American mind has become weaker and weaker.
The last election was a bucket of cold water, a warning that they won’t have even that much power much longer.
But the problem is this: it’s gotten worse, and in a way that hurts us. The media is endangering us all by exaggerating Trump’s supposed faults, and by pumping up "nothing burger" movements like Occupy Wall Street, or making people believe that Black Lives Matter is a huge movement all over the country, or for that matter that white people are shooting black people down in cold blood all over the country.
Like the continuous bows and apologies of Barry the Smug, this nonsense projects an image of a materially divided U.S., one that is in open revolt against its chief executive who is probably a Russian ringer.
We can’t afford this while fighting enemies like China and Weaponized Islam, or even Russia. All these cultures can’t even understand the concept of a free press, much less of a press that runs down and misrepresents its own country.
The idea that we’re fractured and weak, continuously blared by our traitorous media, is the rough equivalent of a “Kick me… with nukes” sign on the back of America.
And the almighty idiots will be shocked when their beloved large cities go up in flames.
Above all, deny the mass media money: don’t subscribe, don’t advertise. Make them drink their own ink to survive.
We can’t restrict the press: they’re supposed to be free. The fact that they’ve been colonized by Marxists who keep everyone to the right of Lenin out doesn’t mean we shouldn’t allow them to be their own idiotic selves.
We just might end up paying dearly for the failure of the media as an institution to be, even vaguely, on the side of America.
The anti-Trump rhetoric has morphed into violence and bloodshed more than once over the last year. It began during Trump rallies when Chicago operative Bob Creamer was instrumental in hiring thugs to start violence and bloody up Trump supporters at events. This tactic, called bird-dogging, was used over the entire campaign season at many rallies in order to make it possible for the Democrat media lapdogs like CNN to report that Trump supporters were violent mobs. That narrative failed when James O'Keefe released an undercover video showing Democrat operatives plotting these hoaxes. But the violence didn't end there. Antifa mobs organized to "bash the fash" at pro-Trump or pro-free speech rallies to stop people from hearing controversial speakers like Milo Yiannopoulos and Ann Coulter. They rationalized this action by claiming they were stopping "Nazis" and "white supremacists." The complicit media did nothing to stop such ridiculous claims, but instead fed the flames of hatred.
These violent attacks have been carried out by people who have been radicalized by the American media. In much the same way ISIS propaganda radicalizes young men, our media has been working overtime to foment hatred and incite violence against us simply because they can't accept the results of the 2016 election.
6. Making "nationalism" synonymous with "racist"
5. Republicans want you to DIE
4. Republicans have launched a war on women's health
3. Republicans hate gays
2. Donald Trump hates the planet (and so do all Republicans)
1. Trump is colluding with the Russians!
Media To America: Don’t Politicize An Obvious Act Of Political Violence
…many of these same folks in media and politics are now strongly urging all Americans to not politicize an avowed leftist trying to assassinate Republican politicians. Suddenly the people who whip up outrage any time a story pops out that fits their narratives transformed themselves into simply wanting social harmony and decency after an attack — a response we usually only see after Islamic terror.
In spite of the protestations that journalists and pundits urged restraint because they worry about the country’s toxic political climate, the real reason is that they have been pushing the narratives that likely shaped the shooter’s worldview.
America has a toxic political climate due to many factors, and one powerful element is the establishment media. It’s all but guaranteed that after a few days of declaring we’re all Americans now and this is no time to push politics, they’ll find a tragic story or violent act to browbeat Republicans with.
We should’ve expected journalists and activists to react to this shooting in this manner — they are a disingenuous crowd.
Washington Post admits they don’t care about balanced reporting
Washington Post’s motto is “Democracy dies in darkness.” They should add a new slogan. Balanced reporting dies with the Washington Post. They finally admit what has been obvious for years, especially in 2017. They don’t want balanced reporting when it comes to President Donald Trump. The Washington Post’s goal is to bash Trump in any way they can. If that means inventing fake news stories or lying about Russia, the Washington Post will do it.
WASH POST: Balance is wrong goal in reporting on the president….

Media Does It Again: Reports Wrong Information About Gun Used In Baseball Shooting
Media variously reported the weapon as an AK-47 and an M4 assault rifle. It was actually an old SKS rifle, not an assault rifle and yes, one bullet per trigger pull.
Florida Expands Legal Protections for Those Who Fire a Gun in Self-Defense
On Friday, Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed into law new legal protections for individuals who defend themselves with firearms.
Senate Bill 128 shifts the burden of proof requirement from the accused to state prosecutors during certain legal proceedings when someone claims he fired a gun in self-defense. The law, which goes into effect immediately, requires that state prosecutors present evidence to overcome a defendant's claim that they employed a justifiable use of force. If the prosecutors can't show "clear and convincing evidence" that the accused did not shoot in self-defense, the case will not go to trial.
Olympics Drops Several Historic Shooting Events for 2020... Because
The ever-political International Olympic Committee has nixed several historical shooting events for the 2020 Tokyo Games in an effort to be "more youthful, more urban" and to appeal to "more women."
The new "youthful, urban" additions include Basketball 3×3, BMX Freestyle, Sport Climbing and Skateboarding, while traditional sports such as Canoe, Judo, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting and Weightlifting will become "gender-balanced." The IOC announced the changes to the shooting-events roster last Friday.
The blog Guns reports:
The 50m Rifle Prone has been a staple of the Olympics since 1912 while the 50m Pistol – commonly called Free Pistol – has been in the games since 1896, in both cases with Americans winning the first gold medal awarded for the events. Men’s Double Trap made its Olympic debut in 1996 with the U.S. picking up gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
USA Shooting, the national governing body for the sport of Olympic-style shooting in the U.S., made clear they opposed the move, noting Team USA’s historic success in these events.
IOC President Thomas Bach said that “The fascinating new events that we approved today, together with the five new sports that were added to the Tokyo 2020 programme last year, represent a step-change in the Olympic programme."
ISSF President Olegario Vázquez Raña said in a statement, “The IOC encouraged the inclusion of mixed gender team events, and this is the kind of innovation that the ISSF has a proud history of bringing to our sport.
Of course, the global elite's preoccupation with eliminating guns couldn't have had anything to do with it.
Seattle taxes guns and ammo, violences goes up and gun buyers are going out of town!
When the City of Seattle passed a tax on all sales of guns and ammunition, the measure was hailed as a way to defray the rising costs of gun violence.
But since the tax took effect, those costs have only risen as gun violence in the city has surged. And the tax has apparently brought in much less than city leaders projected it would.
Seattle City Councilman Tim Burgess introduced the tax in 2015. It puts a $25 tax on every firearm sold in the city and up to 5 cents per round of ammunition. The measure easily passed and took effect January 1, 2016. Comparing the first five months of 2017 with the same period before the gun tax went into effect, reports of shots fired are up 13 percent, the number of people injured in shootings climbed 37 percent and gun deaths doubled, according to crime statistics from the Seattle Police Department.
Total Badass Holds Two Escaped Killers At Gunpoint Until Cops Arrive
There are some bad hombres out there, but few worse then Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose.
Rowe, 43, was convicted of a 2001 armed robbery at a motel in Macon, Georgia. Rowe, covered in tattoos, had two other convictions for burglary, robbery and grand theft auto, so in he was sentenced to life without parole. The judge also found Rowe so dangerous he added an extra five years to the sentence, just to be sure.
Rick Dubose, 23, has even more tattoos, including some on his face. He's a member of an Aryan gang with a lengthy rap sheet. He was sentenced in 2014 to up to 20 years for armed robbery and aggravated assault convictions. Capt. Darren Scarborough of the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office said, "He’s very dangerous and he has nothing to lose and I think he will go down in a blaze of glory."
And the two men are even more dangerous together. The Daily Mail recounts their escape from prison:
Both were armed with the guards' 9mm pistols.
But their three-day flight to freedom ended suddenly. While driving on Interstate 24 in Tennessee, the pair shot at sheriff's deputies who chased them, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. After crashing the car, the men ran through the woods until they came upon a house.
There, the pair tried to steal a car. But the homeowner saw them and came out with a gun. He and a neighbor held the vicious murderers until police arrived and handcuffed them.
"True bravery is what's caused us to stand before you tonight to talk about a successful capture instead of a tragic incident," Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn said at a news conference. "So I'm totally grateful to everyone involved."

Republican Congressman Says Trump “Partially To Blame” For Alexandria Shooting…
“I would argue that the president is at least in partially — not in any way totally — but partially to blame for demons that have been unleashed,” Mark Sanford (R-SC) said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “[N]ot with what happened yesterday, but the fact that you’ve got the top guy saying, ‘Well, I wish I could hit you in the face. And if not, why don’t you and I’ll pay your legal fees.’ That’s bizarre — we ought to call it as such.”
Sanford described the atmosphere in Washington, D.C., as “surreal” and indicated that Congress needs to do some soul-searching moving forward.
Why don’t you go back to South America to do your soul searching (and maybe another booty call)? What this guy’s doing is damaging to the country, as well as his own Repube party.
Hey, it’s not like anyone got shot over it… no, wait?
Watch this vid…it’s a bit long, but you’ll see a socialist and a leftist in the media try to defend their evils against the country.
Thomas Homan, ICE chief, says illegal immigrants should live in fear
Thomas D. Homan, acting director at ICE, said anyone in the country without authorization can be arrested and those who have been ordered deported by judges must be removed if laws are to have meaning.
Advocacy groups are enraged and demand leniency for “traumatized” immigrants.
Mr. Homan makes no apologies.
“If you’re in this country illegally and you committed a crime by being in this country, you should be uncomfortable, you should look over your shoulder. You need to be worried,” Mr. Homan testified to the House Appropriations Committee. “No population is off the table.”
California’s latest effort to thwart ICE is a doozy
California is currently struggling with yet another budget deadline and the legislature has sent a bill to the desk of Governor Jerry Brown which takes care of a few bits of housekeeping on that front. Along with the usual tax hikes and sleight-of-hand to move taxpayer dollars around, they’re “modernizing” the new marijuana industry by allowing pot samples at county fairs and home delivery of weed. (What could possibly go wrong?) But there’s a poison pill buried in with the rest of these scattershot measures which once again aims to further cripple immigration law enforcement. The state plans to forbid any expenditures slated for new beds for immigration detention or any new contracts for work on immigration detention centers.
If these are the sorts of frivolous and insulting games that California’s elected leaders want to play with our safety and security, I say Washington should get in on the action. Cut them off at the knees and let them figure out where to get the money to make up the difference. Perhaps they can do it with a new tax on all that home marijuana delivery. Or perhaps the profits from their new, super speedy bullet train which I’m sure should be going into operation any… day… now…
Tidster Vickie Sends Message to Diane Feinstein
You and all the rest of your DNC companions are equally guilty of the shooting today at the baseball practice. Their blood is upon each and everyone of your hands . Your rhetoric, cries for resistance and obstructionism, continued posturing against Donald Trump are fueling and promoting the hate and violence we are seeing from your base. Shame on each and every one of you. You are not serving the country nor are you serving American citizens. Your DNC has become the party of hate, intolerance, violence and obstructionism.
I pray daily that there is at least one Democrat Senator or Congress Person who has the integrity, enough moral center left and love of country who will stand up, speak up against what the rest of you are doing and choose to work for the country and her citizens instead are going along with the insanity that has become the DNC.
Shame be upon each and everyone of you. You are betraying the country, your oaths, the Constitution and citizens. What you are attempting to do is nothing other than an overthrow of this government and the duly elected presidency.
Deeply disappointed in you and your chosen path of obstructionism.
Well said, Vickie.
California Democrats changing the rules to protect one of their own
You may recall a news item out of California last month which seemed out of step with usual Golden State politics. Voters there had been saddled with yet another massive tax hike, this one primarily centered around the gas tax, which had been rammed through the legislature with only Democratic votes. People had finally, it seemed, had enough. Activists put forward two new measures for a referendum vote, one to repeal the tax increase and the other to recall Josh Newman, one of the Democratic state senators who pushed the measure through. Newman barely held onto his seat in the last election, so he was widely viewed as potentially being in trouble.
Faced with the prospect of losing that seat in the senate, Democrats quickly mobilized to put out a positive campaign message and win people over to their way of thinking on this complex funding issue. Naw… I’m just kidding. They’ve moved to change the rules so it will be harder for the voters to recall anyone.
I rest my case.
Our Jodi nailed it again!
Yes, she did!
Thank you for all this information.
