The Soetoro/Obama legacy---"Up In Smoke" (one way or the other)

Dope smoking Soetoro/Obama actually signed a law which prohibits DOJ from enforcing law he was responsible for---think about that.

In particular, Soetoro/Obama mandated "medical marijuana" even though the stuff is illegal under the Controlled Substances Act. When that is coupled with wide open border, and millions of illegals who develop a drug network, the Democrat's strategy is clear---" DOPE THE VOTE". And some have said that such change, as allows "medical marijuana" will further allow "recreational use". The contradictory law refered to can be seen at the following link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohrabacher%E2%80%93Farr_amendment

It appears this rediculous prohibition-a law which prevents enforcing a law which is sworn to be upheld---requires annual renewal by Congress. Typically, it's included in a volumous revenue bill which requires vote, meaning most Congressmen vote for marijuana without even knowing it. Alternately, they vote for it or shut down the government due to lack of funds.

So let's consider the big picture. Attorney General Sessions has written a letter to Congress, asking that the "medical marijuana" be canceled out---what happens will depend upon who controls Congress after the "midterms", and what, if anything, such congress will be willing to do. Session's letter can be viewed at this link: https://www.teaparty.org/letter-sessions-declares-war-medical-marijuana-states-244411/

It seems President Trump intends to choke off the Mexican supply and end the unlawful immigration which establishes a distribution network. In support, Attorney General Sessions will begin enforcing the Controlled Substances Act, and in effect shut down the marijuana business.

It's quite likely we will all hear quite a bit more concerning this topic, either as midterm campaign issue, or after a new Congress is seated.

Abraham Lincoln spoke of the danger of a tyrant rising from within, so as to take over the political system. He advised cultivation of reverence for law in order to prevent such unwelcome take over---you can see what he said here: https://townhall.com/columnists/dwwilber/2015/11/10/destroyed-from-within-n2077972

I don't even know what to say about this. I have VERY mixed feeling on Marijuana. I am NOT a smoker of it, never have been, but, medical marijuana is something I agree with. I see what it does for people with cancer. So, for them to stop this for medical purposes, I totally disagree.

Like Robin, my feelings on marijuana for medical purposes are quite mixed.  That said, President Trump signed a bill....Right to Try...for terminally ill people to legally try drugs that have not cleared all FDA hurdles.  Perhaps a similar bill might find its way to his desk.

As for recreational use, it remains illegal.  Funny, ever notice you never hear the people who complained about second-hand cigarette smoke say one word about second hand marijuana smoke?

Strict regulation for medical use is feasible, but to be proper, it would require a doctor's oversight.

In broad terms, what allows "medical marijuana" is likely to provide legal status for "recreational" use.

Look at the dastardly process which has allowed "medical"---how can a law which prohibits enforcing the law sworn to be upheld, yield a good result???

Tetrahydrocannabinol is non water soluble---that means it resides in the human system for up to 30 days after ingestion (unlike alcohol, which purges in about an hour).  Current marijuana policy affects 325 million people---that includes police, doctors, judges, etc.  Are we going to be so stupid we allow a policeman to kill someone, when the officer has "a little bit of THC" in their body???  And etc., etc., etc.

Modern science reveals it's possible for users to develop a permanent deposit of THC in their brain tissue, which has intoxicating affect.  What exact illness can be treated with marijuana???  If a liberal idiot claims mental stress, are they going to be able to medically treat the illness with dope, which they self administer???  Modern science further reveals it's possible to incur brain damage from using marijuana.

With regards to this issue, not to be forgotten is the potential involvement of a newly structured Supreme Court.

If nothing else comes from this discussion, we can see AG Sessions is doing some very powerful things---of course unreported by the "fake news media".  I doubt very many people even know that what we discuss here (marijuana) is actually a primary consideration for our government.

Here's another example of Sessions doing his job, and it being ignored by the media:

https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftheconservativetreehous...

I hope and Pray for AG Sessions success, as he manages over 100,000 employees and oversees a budget in excess of $30 billion/year.

Here in NJ medical marijuana is legal. It MUST be under a doctors prescription and he must have a medical marijuana card. My husbands cancer doctor has tried to get him to try the medical marijuana to give him an appetite. He is 6 ft 6 and used to weigh around 275 lbs. He is now hovering around 216 lbs. So far he has refused it. She did prescribe him Marinol, which is a pill form of THC. He tried that and did not like how he felt.

It's only legal because of reasons stated---Soetoro/Obama signed law which forbids enforcing law sworn to be upheld.  And very clearly the Attorney General is challenging the process.
The whole issue may well be decided by a newly structured Supreme Court.  Such Court has, in times past, stricken term limits enacted by 26 States, and suspended capital punishment for all 50.
In fact, the Supreme Court has already ruled concerning "medical marijuana"---you can find better description here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzales_v._Raich

Kurtis, Since my husband was diagnosed with cancer, I have done extensive research on marijuana and many other natural remedies for the disease.

My whole take on this is,after the horrors that my husband and I have been living for months, AFTER he was pumped full of a drug called IV Immunoglobulins, he developed 8 large open ulcers from this cancer treatment. This man-made treatment caused the tissues in his legs to break down. In May he was hospitalized because of it and almost lost his right leg. We are still dealing with the aftermath to this day.

I have talked at length with his cancer doctors and there is study after study on the benefits, and, sometimes people being cured from alternative medicine, including marijuana.

Also, a friend of mine's uncle who has Lukemia, was on Chemo, in and out of the hospital, ended up at home on Hospice. Well, since he quit the Chemo (poison) he is OFF Hospice and now back to living a normal life and still kicking.

Another example. Rick was using meds in his breathing inhaler, it did nothing to bring his oxygen levels up. I researched and found that Dandelion Root could help. Well, since he started taking it, his oxygen levels are much better, without the drugs prescribed by the doctor. His infectious doc told me he swears by Dandelion root for many,. many things. He's Greek and actually eats dandelion all the time. He takes NO MEDS and his father is 93 and taken no meds!

Big Phamra does NOT want any cures for anything. Politicians are in the pocket of Big Pharma. If people could grow something in their yards to help with, or possibly cure a disease, they can't control the supply and demand. They don't get the Money!

Big Pharma has shut down studies and has also destroyed evidence of the benefits. WHY?

Marijuana Benefits Cancer: Two Studies You Probably Never Read About.
https://www.naturalnews.com/029780_marijuana_cancer.html#

(NewsTarget) In February 2000 researchers in Madrid announced they had destroyed incurable brain tumors in rats by injecting them with THC, the active ingredient in cannabis. The study was later published in the journal Nature Cancer Review. Chances are that you have never heard of this study, the same as you likely never heard of a previous similar study. There has been a virtual news blackout as well as a concerted government effort to suppress such stories and studies for over thirty years.
The previous study which indicated that marijuana could be effective against cancer was conducted in 1974. In that study, researchers at the Medical College of Virginia, who had been funded by the National Institutes of Health to find evidence that marijuana damages the immune system, found instead that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice - lung and breast cancer, and virus-induced leukemia.

The DEA quickly shut down the Virginia study and all further cannabis/tumor research, according to Jack Herer, who reported on the events in his book, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes". In 1976, President Gerald Ford ended all public research on cannabis and granted exclusive research rights to major pharmaceutical companies, who unsuccessfully attempted to develop synthetic forms of THC that would deliver the medical benefits without the "high."

In 1983, the Reagan/Bush Administration attempted to persuade American universities and researchers to destroy all 1966-76 cannabis research work, including compendiums in libraries, reported Herer. He stated, "We know that large amounts of information have since disappeared."

You and I will not decide the future of marijuana---the best we can do is to be aware of what's going on, and to develop an opinion.  For my part, I will not approve of providing marijuana to a vast multitude of people, numbering perhaps in excess of 100,000,000.  The Controlled Substances Act satisfies U.S. commitment to international treaty, involving about 40 countries---the idea is to prevent a vast multitude of dope smoking idiots.
For what it's worth, I'll provide some alternative medical research which persuades avoiding the stuff.
What is true for the part is not necessarily true for the whole---whereas a few people may benefit from marijuana, it's a safe estimate that it will be detrimental if used by a vast multitude.
Rather than form my opinion on one scientific study or another, mine is based on direct experience---I have seen marijuana ruin at least a 1/2 dozen lives over a 40 year period, and that cinches it for me.

Hello Kurtis,

Robin, like so many people who are dealing with cancer themselves or with a loved one, aren't worried about potential societal impacts or potential long term side effects.  This is because they are dealing with people in great pain, losing a lot of weight, and are dying of cancer or some other terrible disease.

They don't have the luxury of worrying about potential long term anything because they are dealing with an actual problem whose short term side effect is death.  Nothing else really enters into their calculus at that point.  They want their loved one who is in immense pain and is wasting away in front of their eyes to get whatever relief possible.  The side effects from the pain killers is far greater than the pot, if they were to live long enough to worry about that.  So if pot helps a cancer patient develop an appetite and actually eat, or reduces their pain, or reduces their anxiety, or helps them sleep... or or or or… then they feel they should have it...period. Understand?

God bless.
