Obama’s EEOC: We’ll Sue You If You Don’t Hire Criminals

The Obama administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says it should be a federal crime to refuse to hire ex-convicts — and threatens to sue businesses that don’t employ criminals.

In April the EEOC unveiled its “Enforcement Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest and Conviction Records,” which declares that “criminal record exclusions have a disparate impact based on race and national origin.”

The impetus for this “guidance” is that black men are nearly seven times more likely than white men to serve time in prison, and therefore refusals to hire convicts disproportionally impact blacks, according to a Wall Street Journal opinion piece by James Bovard, a libertarian author and lecturer whose books include “Freedom in Chains: The Rise of the State and the Demise of the Citizen.”

Once again the federal government is attempting to "fix" a symptom based solely on class.  Perhaps it would be better to mandate that black men not be convicted of crimes -- it makes about the same amount of sense.

The opposite of racism is equality - something Obama and the racist US press will never get right.

As for rule after rule on the private sector, my analysis says 20% of it is already dead.  That is why no jobs, no GDP growth, lack on income into the US government being the main reason for deficit.  And these continued stupid regulations on the private sector seem meant to ensure that the US economy will get worse and worse instead of better.

Just what I want to do if I were a business person. Hire criminals. Oh yes! Robbers, murderers, violent criminals that are let out of jail. Sure, come rob me, rape me and kill me, after I give you a job. The left created the problem in the black community by keeping them dependent on government. They are the reason for the breakdown in the family. Now they cry that this disproportionally impact blacks? Give me a break! You see what happens if a black person dare step off the plantation. They are excoriated by the left, called uncle tom and destroyed! How do we ever reach the black community? How do we make them see that the people they keep voting for, are the ones who have made their situation worse?
