Massive military presence in D.C.

Question: why is there such a massive military buildup in D.C. for a virtual inauguration that is closed to the public? Tell me if any of this makes sense. There are 25,000 armed National Guard and counting who are "cleared to use lethal force". Just to give you an idea of the size, it's equivalent to three military combat divisions. There's so many of them that they ran out of cots. Then there are the barriers, barbwire fences, and military checkpoints. The whole area is under strict lockdown.

So whose responsible for this? It's not the mayor of D.C. Muriel Bowser. In a letter dated January 5th, she made it clear that "The District of Columbia Government has not requested personnel from any other federal law enforcement agencies." Here's what we know. The National Guard in D.C. are under the command of National Guard Bureau Chief, General Daniel R. Hokanson. General Hokanson answers only to Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller and Miller answers directly to President Trump.

Chris Miller was appointed by Trump. He served in Afghanistan and Iraq and is trained in counter terrorism. It's of interest to note that Special Operations were restructured to report directly to Miller. In Miller you have someone who is loyal to Trump and controls some very big levers.

Back to D.C. If this is all for an inauguration then it's the most overkill I've ever seen. Why so much security for someone who is supposedly so popular that he won more votes than any presidential candidate in U.S. history (yea right)? No, I think there's more going on behind the scenes than we are aware of. It would explain why the Dems have been frantic to remove President Trump out of office with only a few days to go until inauguration day.

Some have said impeachment is about trying to make sure that Trump can never run for president again. But impeachment was Pelosi's last resort. She first tried to subtly suggest the military remove him and then tried to get Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment. When that didn't work she resorted to impeachment (again), all without an investigation no less. I think they are afraid that Trump will do something. We will find out soon enough.

    IMHO...Hopefully they are there to remove all the evil democrat traitors who have put Obiden in as president and "heels up" Harris as vice president. They were illegally voted in by a massive voter fraud, described by Biden by the way, hopefully this will include the speaker and ALL the other traitors trying to take over our country and destroy it for their profit. I've never seen such a clown show in my life, Trump had hundreds of thousands at his rallies while Hidin' Biden had dozens at most. The only reason Biden got any votes is because the low information voters believe all the MSM crap and hate trump. They don't have any idea that Joe wants to open the borders, and undo all the great things Trump accomplished during his presidency.

It has been a wild ride in the last twelve years. I would not have believed that we could fall so far in my craziest imaginings. I fear that lying, cheating, and stealing have become the new virtues. It is ok to burn and destroy private and public property as long as you say that someone else is doing it. What is happening here? I am horrified by the behavior of those who would assault our liberty through the suppression of speech, religion, and property ownership. It is a sad day when we think we have to put troops around our Capital to prevent trouble from within. Maybe we need to think back on the Civil War and the toll it took on families, friends, and our liberty. Maybe we need to consider the possible outcomes of our actions before we act. It is not socialism that poses the largest threat to liberty. It is a socio-fascist state that wishes to control business, people and property. Men are not Angels.

FYI there is still a military presence in D.C. complete with barbed wire fence. The question is why? Are they really that paranoid? They don't act like someone who supposedly won more votes than any presidential candidate in U.S. history.
