~ Where the Sun Will Never Set on Our liberty ~
A gunman turned a Las Vegas concert into a killing field Sunday night from his perch on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, using at least 10 guns to rain down a steady stream of fire, murdering at least 59 people and injuring more than 520 others in the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.
The suspect, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, a resident of Mesquite, Nevada. Police initially sought a woman believed to be Paddock's roommate, Marilou Danley, as a "person of interest." Detectives later made contact with her, and "do not believe she is involved with the shooting on The Strip."
Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said an "excess of 10 rifles" were found in the room, but did not immediately reveal a motive, saying "I can't get into the mind of a psychopath at this point."
Paddock reportedly had about 23 guns in his hotel room, according to police in an evening press conference.
Fully automatic weapons produced after the mid-1980s are illegal in the U.S. Those made before can still be purchased, however, buying one requires heavy regulation, including a background check by ATF and law enforcement notification. In recent years, however, some criminals have illegally converted semi-automatic weapons into automatic ones.
Chris Michel, owner of Dixie GunWorx, said Paddock visited his store in St. George, Utah, several times and purchased a shotgun in February after passing a federal gun background check.
"There were no red flags," Michel told The Associated Press. "I had no idea he would be capable of this."
Paddock had been in the hotel room since September 28, according to Lombardo. The sheriff said a check of federal and state databases showed Paddock was not on law enforcement authorities' radar before the bloodbath.
Authorities said two on-duty Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were injured during the shooting. One is in stable condition after surgery, and the other sustained minor injuries. Two off-duty police officers attending the concert were killed.
President Trump said the mass shooting "was an act of pure evil," and praised first responders in an address to the nation.
"To the families of the victims, we are praying for you and we are here for you," Trump said, adding that he will visit Las Vegas on Wednesday to meet with first responders and families.
The gunman, who fired down on the Route 91 Harvest Festival from a room in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound just as police made entry to the room, according to LVMPD undersheriff Kevin McMahill.
At this time, federal officials do not see any connection to international terrorism and little is known about Paddock's motivation, federal law enforcement sources said. The Islamic State terror group took credit for the Las Vegas shooting, saying the gunman converted to Islam months ago, but provided no evidence to back up the claim.
FBI Special agent-in-charge Aaron Rouse said at a news conference the agency has "determined to this point no connection with an international terrorist group."
Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisola told the Nevada Independent that Paddock rented two hotel rooms, one facing north and one facing east, and had previously visited the hotel two other times.
Paddock was using Danley’s slot machine card, which is how police got ahold of her name although she was in the Philippines at the time of the incident, Sisolak said.
The gunman's brother, Eric Paddock, told reporters outside his Central Florida home early Monday "an asteroid just fell on us," and said Stephen Paddock has no history of mental illness.
Paddock said his brother is "just a guy" and he "freaked," and had retired to Vegas because he liked gambling. The shooter's brother said Paddock didn't care about religion or politics.
He later told reporters that his brother was a multimillionaire who made money investing in real estate, in addition to working as an accountant for a number of years.
The Department of Homeland Security said Monday morning that the department is "closely monitoring" and helping partners investigate the tragedy, but at this time has "no information to indicate a specific credible threat involving other public venues in the country."
Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke with Sheriff Lombardo offering his full support, Department of Justice officials told Fox News.
Sessions said in a statement he met with FBI Director Christopher Wray early Monday morning.
"To the many families whose lives have been changed forever by this heinous act, we offer you our prayers and our promise that we will do everything in our power to get justice for your loved ones," Sessions said in a statement.
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval called the massacre a cowardly, despicable act and praised first responders, saying they saved scores of lives.
"We're angry, we're grieving, we're confused, people are hurting," he said.
Authorities first received calls about an active shooting at about 10:08 p.m. Country music star Jason Aldean was performing at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when the gunfire erupted.
Aldean was performing his last song of the night. Initially, those in attendance said they thought the sound was firecrackers. But as the shots continued, Aldean stopped singing and some concertgoers could be heard yelling to each other to get down.
One witness told a local television station that he heard “hundreds of shots.” The gunfire was rapid and reportedly confused with firecrackers.
"It sounded like a machine gun," one vendor told Fox News. "It sounded like more than one machine gun."
Firearms experts hesitated Monday to attribute the shooter’s rapid fire from his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino to an automatic weapon’s fire.
Automatic weapons, sometimes referred to as machine guns, fire a stream of bullets when the trigger is pulled once and held down. They differ from semiautomatic weapons, which require one trigger pull for each round fired.
Ryan Cleckner, a former U.S. Army Ranger sniper and author of “Long Range Shooting Handbook,” said the seemingly inconsistent rate of Paddock’s shooting may indicate he was using a device to mimic full-auto fire.
These devices, such as a Slide Fire stock, are legal and can be bought for about $300.
"These devices take advantage of a firearm’s natural recoil to ‘bump-fire’ the firearm thereby mimicking a machine gun without meeting the legal definition,” Cleckner told Fox News.
Equipping an AR-15, for example, with a Slide Fire stock would be far cheaper and easier than buying a machine gun. Machine guns in the U.S. can cost upwards of $15,000 and require the buyer to undergo a personally intrusive and months-long application process with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Country singer Jake Owen, who performed before Aldean, told Fox News the gunfire was "non-stop."
"You couldn't tell where it was coming from. It was loud and non-stop," he said.
Some concertgoers stayed behind to offer help to those around them.
“Everybody I saw breathing, I helped,” a concertgoer told Fox News.
The wife of a Tennessee man killed by the Las Vegas shooter said her husband died because he saved her from being shot. Heather Gulish Melton told Fox affiliate WZTVthat her husband, Sonny Melton of Paris, Tennessee, was among the 50 killed Sunday night.
Kodiak Yazzie, 36, said the music stopped temporarily and started up again before another round of pops sent the performers ducking for cover and fleeing the stage.
"It was the craziest stuff I've ever seen in my entire life," Yazzie told the Associated Press. "You could hear that the noise was coming from west of us, from Mandalay Bay. You could see a flash- flash- flash- flash."
As the thousands of fans in the crowd began to flee, Yazzie took cover and said he saw flashes of light coming from the Mandalay Bay hotel tower high above.
Another concertgoer told the Las Vegas Review-Journal the shots sounded like fireworks, and she hid in a sewer.
“It was a horror show,” Ivetta Saldana told the newspaper. “People were standing around, then they hit the floor.”
Retired FBI special agent and former national FBI spokesman John Iannarelli, who drove past the scene of the event just moments before the shooting took place, told Fox News the massacre was "obviously well-planned."
Iannarelli added the gunman used “expensive guns and ammunition.”
Iannarelli noted that FBI and police are going to speak with every friend and relative, and are conducting forensic review of the suspect's computers and phones.
The shooting at the sold-out Route 91 Harvest festival was the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Forty-nine people were killed when a gunman opened fire at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando in June 2016.
Sunday's shooting came more than four months after a suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, that killed 22 people. Almost 90 people were killed by gunmen inspired by the Islamic State terror group at the Bataclan concert hall in Paris during a performance by Eagles of Death Metal in November 2015.
Have no idea if this is true or not. Posting for info purposes only.

FBI Raids Hillary Clinton “Death Factory” As More “Deep State” Trump Attacks Exposed
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers
A stunning new Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) forces loyal to President Donald Trump have just conducted a massive raid against one of the largest “body-part death factories” in the US after it was linked to both Hillary Clinton and CIA gun runner and human smuggler Stephen Paddock (who was the “designated patsy” for the Las Vegas massacre)—while at the same time, the “Deep State” attacks against Trumpover his supposed collusion with Russia are now being called “an embarrassment to America” after their being exposed for the lies they really are. [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]
Brainwashed Americans believe President Trump made up the “Deep State”…how wrong they are!
According to this report, during the past 24 hours, FBI forces from both Las Vegas and Washington D.C. joined with their counterparts in Portland, Oregon, and descended en masse upon one of America’s largest wholesalers of human body parts named MedCure—whose business is described as soliciting thousands of Americans to donate their bodies to science each year—and who then profits by dissecting the parts and distributing them for use by researchers and educators throughout the world.
MedCure was founded in 2006 by David Urbina and Janis Locenieks, this report details, but became “highly concerning” to FBI investigators in Washington D.C. when they discovered that the international law firm Perkins Coie had been paying over $100,000 a year to a Beaverton, Oregon company named Wood Furniture Pdx—whose sole owner is MedCure founder Janis Locenieks, with its supposed woodworking factory location, at 4016 SW 96th Ave Beaverton, Oregon, being no such thing as it’s a single residence mansion valued at over $550,000—with it, also, being important to note that Perkins Coie was directed by both the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to retain Fusion GPS, in April of 2016, to compile the fake “Russian Dossier” on President Trump.
While FBI investigators in Washington D.C. were becoming “highly concerned” as to why Hillary Clinton’s law firm was paying MedCure founder Janis Locenieks hundreds-of-thousands of dollars, this report continues, FBI investigators in Las Vegas, at the same time, became “shockingly alarmed” after they discovered that CIA gun runner and human smuggler Stephen Paddock made regular deliveries to the MedCure facility in Henderson, Nevada—and though SVR intelligence analysts do not suggest that Paddock was using MedCure as a “body dumping station”, they do stunningly note that Nevada has the worst laws governing human remains in the entire US—whose elected or appointed Sheriffs are mandated by law to be coroners, even without medical education—and who are, also, the sole determiner as to the cause of death—thus making this State the “perfect/ideal” location to rid oneself of the unwanted bodies of those killed during illegal human smuggling operations.

As these FBI forces loyal to President Trump continue closing in on Hillary Clinton, and all of her criminal accomplices, too, this report says, the “Deep State’s” defense of her by falsely claiming Trump had colluded with Russia has now collapsed into what is now being compared to a Hound of the Baskervilles chasing its tail event, where “the hound has caught its own tail and devoured itself from behind to the point that it has become a deformed biped”—and is now making America the laughingstock of nations the world over.
To why the entire world is laughing at these insane American’s, this report explains, is due to their all knowing the most important simple fact underlying the entire Trump-Russia “Deep State” fairytale—and which is the two central pillars of this fable, the Democrats being hacked, and the “Russia Dossier”, were entirely made up lies bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and her Democrats in order to sooth their being defeated by President Trump.
Where in normal times such nonsensical claims of Trump colluding with Russia would have been relegated to the dustbin of history where it belonged, this report details, the American people were, instead, blindsided by their propaganda mainstream media—that operates as the communications arm of the Democratic Party—and who were shockingly being paid by Hillary Clinton’s “Russia Dossier” creator Fusion GPS to spread these made up lies as if they were truth—with many of these supposed mainstream journalists, also, being on the direct payroll of Fusion GPS itself.
Even to the “Deep State’s” supposed triumph of “discovering” that a Russian lawyer had met with top Trump officials before the election, this report continues, even it has now been exposed as being a set up as this lawyer has now been discovered to have met with Hillary Clinton’s fake “Russia Dossier” firm Fusion GPS both prior to, and after, this meeting occurring.
Though the highly respected, and award winning international affairs journalist Joe Lauria attempted to warn the readers of the leftist Huffington Post that Hillary Clinton’s “cash for trash” fake Trump-Russia collusion fairytale was all made up, this report says, the Huffington Post quickly deleted his article—and replaced it with one accusing former Democratic National Committee leader Donna Brazile of now colluding with Russia—and whose “journalistic perceptions” have become so acute, SVRanalysts are warning that the Huffington Post may soon discover that President Putin has ties to Russia too!
Failing to see any humor at all in this entire Russia hysteria mess created by Hillary Clinton and her leftist mainstream propaganda media allies, though, this report concludes, is CIA Director Mike Pompeo—who has just met, under orders from President Trump, with one of the most feared by the “Deep State” US intelligence officials in America today named William Binney, who, along with other top US intelligence officials, provided Trump with the proof that the DNC hadn’t been hacked by Russia—with CIA Director Pompeo, afterwards, then taking what is being called “the unusual step” of having the CIA’s Counterintelligence Mission Center, which would likely play a role in any inquiries by the agency into Russian election meddling, report directly to him—and who yesterday, too, began a massive hiring drive of spies to man his Directorate of Operation (formerly Clandestine Service)—and that he stunningly opened to American’s high school students, too—nearly all of whom are part of Generation Z the Security Council has previously warned will soon join President Trump to “cleanse America”.

Finally Some Answers: Las Vegas Shooter's Girlfriend Helped Load His Magazines, Handled Ammo....
On Oct. 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock unloaded hundreds of rounds of ammunition into a country music festival below the Las Vegas hotel room he was in.
Hundreds were injured, and 58 people died, making it one of the most deadly shootings in U.S. history. However, little to no information has been released about what actually happened and why Paddock slaughtered so many innocent people.
Four months later, documents show that his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, told authorities they would likely find fingerprints on Paddock's bullets because she often assisted him in loading the magazines, according to court documents released Friday.
On Oct. 3, no evidence suggested Danley had any “criminal involvement,” and she was in the Philippines visiting her family on the night of the attack.
However, it was also recently discovered that an hour before Las Vegas police released Paddock's name, Danley deleted her Facebook account.
The shooting began at 10:08 p.m. Danley deleted her account at 2:46 a.m., and then Paddock's name was released to the public at 3:30 a.m. According to an FBI agent's affidavit, Danley was “adamant that she had no prior inclination of Paddock’s intentions to conduct the attack."
Information was also released on Friday showing that Paddock was communicating through email about buying rifles and bump stocks months before the attack occurred. He was told to try an AR-style rife before purchasing one, and he said that he was interested in trying out several different scopes and types of ammunition.
The motive of the shooter is still unknown.
How many other accounts has Danley opened and closed during her lifetime? Coincidence? I think not.
FBI FINALLY Forced to Release Records in Las Vegas Investigation
Posted by Susan Taylor on January 16, 2018 at 9:20am in General DiscussionSend Message View Discussions
For months, Americans have been waiting to hear how the FBI and local authorities plan to protect the nation from another attack like the one we saw in Las Vegas in October.
The perfectly sound reason for this fear is simple: We have no idea what shooter Stephen Paddock’s motives were, and not knowing what sparked the deadliest mass shooting in American history does not bode well for preventing another similar attack.
Americans from all corners of the nation have been clamoring for answers in the shooting, which saw 58 dead and more than 500 others injured when Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino, taking aim at a crowd of conservative country music fans below. In his room was an astonishing arsenal of weapons as well, with no video ever released of Paddock or the hotel bellhops moving the hundreds and hundred of pounds of ammunition to the room.
This has led to a number of conspiracy theories blossoming on the internet and, with no real answers being provided, it has been easy for our intrepid armchair sleuths to hook new “truthers” every day.
Now, as we approach the 4 month anniversary of the tragedy, the FBI has finally been forced to release a cache of information regarding their investigation.
“A federal judge in Nevada unsealed hundreds of pages of FBI documents about the Las Vegas massacre Friday, giving new insight into the gunman and the months leading up to the deadly mass shooting.
“The documents, which were released in response to several media lawsuits, include more than a dozen search warrant affidavits.
“They reveal that gunman Stephen Paddock exchanged emails about buying rifles and bump stocks months before he killed 58 people and wounded more than 500 others when he opened fire on a crowd from a hotel room in October.
“The documents show Paddock received an email from a Gmail account in July encouraging him to try an AR-style rifle before buying one.
“‘We have a huge selection in the las vegas area,’ the message read.
“Paddock replied saying that he wanted to test several scopes and different types of ammunition.
“An email in response suggested trying a bump stock on a 100-round magazine rifle, saying it would be ‘a thrill.’
“Paddock’s personal email address and the Gmail address had similar names, leading investigators to suspect he may have been emailing himself, but don’t understand why.”
Further into the documents we also find that Paddock’s girlfriend, who was in the Philippines at the time of the shooting, told investigators that they would indeed find her fingerprints on ammunition in the case, due to her helping Paddock load magazines. At this time, the FBI does not consider her a suspect.
We may never know the whole story of Stephen Paddock’s assault on America back on that cool October night, but at least now we are moving in the direction of transparency and disclosure in the case.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the following statistics from the FBI's investigation:
400 specialists brought in
1500 leads followed locally, 500 worldwide
40 terabytes of data collected
22,000 hours of video collected
250,000 images collected
14 days to comb through the 15-acre festival site
13 days to collect evidence inside Mandalay Bay
12 federal search warrants filed
500 grand jury subpoenas issued
FBI Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse said in December that they have interviewed more than 400 people worldwide in the investigation to learn "as much as we possibly can about why the subject did what they did."
Things are starting to come together! Child Porn, probably trafficking as well.
Las Vegas shooter Paddock had child porn on computer, FBI investigating person of interest: sheriff
Investigators scanning computers belonging to Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock found “numerous” child pornography photos, the city’s sheriff revealed Friday, adding that the FBI is looking into a person of interest in the case.

Sheriff Joe Lombardo, in his first press conference since Oct. 13, 2017, released an 81-page preliminary investigative report on the shooting Friday that contains new photographs of Paddock's hotel suite and online searches he conducted before the attack, such as for SWAT tactics and other potential public venue targets.
Lombardo said the unnamed person of interest the FBI is looking into is not Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, and he reiterated that authorities believe Paddock was a lone shooter.
“I realize it’s been three months since you have received an update on the 1 Oct. shooting,” Lombardo told reporters Friday. “We have done a lot of work trying to piece together what happened.”
The sheriff said investigators “have gone over 2,000 leads and looked at 21,560 hours of video.”
“This report won’t answer every question, or even the biggest question as to why he did what he did,” Lombardo said. “We are all going to have to be patient and let the investigation run its course.”

Paddock gunned down 58 people in the Oct. 1, 2017, massacre, firing at a music festival crowd from the confines of his Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino suite.
Bruce, his brother, was arrested last year by Los Angeles police and accused of possessing child pornography, as part of a separate investigation that began months before the Vegas attack.
Friday’s report said Stephen Paddock bought nearly double the number of firearms in the year leading up to the attack that he'd bought in the 24 years after his first gun purchase in 1982.
“From 1982 through September of 2016, Paddock purchased 29 firearms. These purchases consisted of handguns, shotguns and one rifle,” it read. “From October 2016 through September 2017, Paddock purchased over 55 firearms."
It continued: "Most of the firearms purchased from 2016 through 2017 were rifles in various calibers along with over 100 firearm related items through numerous retailers. The firearm-related items included scopes, cases, bump stocks and ammunition."
Police said all the weapons were purchased legally, in-store and online.
Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock became more "distant" in the months leading up to the attack, his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, told investigators. (AP/Eric Paddock)
"Paddock did not commit a crime until he fired the first round into the crowd at the Las Vegas Village," the report said.
A timeline in the report also said that on Sept. 26, 2017, "Paddock completed a wire transfer in Mesquite, Nevada, of $50,000 from his Wells Fargo account to an account in the Philippines."
Two days later, he "made a $14,000 deposit at Wells Fargo and transferred $50,000 to a bank in the Philippines," the report added.
During his stay at Mandalay Bay, Paddock was "seen" and "observed" numerous times entering and exiting the property with suitcases and bags, on different days.
"Paddock was described as 'germaphobic' and had strong reactions to smells."
- Police report on Las Vegas shooting investigation
On one trip away from the resort, the gunman stopped at a Walmart in Mesquite and "purchased luggage, razor blades, fake flowers, a vase, and a Styrofoam ball," the report stated.
His girlfriend, Danley, who was in the Philippines at the time of the attack, told investigators that Paddock's behavior started to change in the year leading up to the shooting.
"Paddock had become 'distant' and their relationship was no longer intimate," the report stated. "Paddock was described as 'germaphobic' and had strong reactions to smells."
Danley said the pair stayed at Mandalay Bay in September 2017, and he was "behaving strangely."
"The two were staying in room 60-235 and she observed Paddock constantly looking out the windows of the room which overlooked the Las Vegas Village venue," the report stated.
The village was the site of the Route 91 Harvest music festival, which Paddock targeted.
"Paddock would move from window to window looking at the site from different angles," the report said, describing the visit.
Federal Agents Zeroed In On New Mystery Man in Las Vegas Shooting; But FBI Brass Protected Him From Interrogations
The hushed FBI investigation unfolding inside the FBI’s public Broadway show version of the Las Vegas shooting investigation started when a witness claimed he hid outside Mandalay Bay in the bushes for hours after the stream of gunfire started raining down on concert goers on Oct. 1.
The same man also claimed he was inside the room next door to the shooter when gunfire erupted on 22,000 country western fans — mostly Trump supporters — at an outdoor concert in the shadow of the MGM resort’s sprawling Mandalay Bay resort.
The same man who said he saw shooters gun down a security guard outside the hotel suite he shared with Stephen Paddock, even though that information was never divulged publicly at the time.
The same man who described to news media — minutes after the attack — in detail the tools in Paddock’s suite used for the attack days before such physical evidence was released to the public.
The same man who went to great lengths — using techniques few would know or employ absent training — to mask his phone and social media accounts to shield his location before and during the attack.
The same man FBI agents were never allowed to interview and told to forget about, despite pleadings from intelligence veterans that this individual was an imperative person of interest in the shooting investigation.
“We cleared Mandalay Bay within two hours,” one FBI agent recalled while replaying the video of a witness statement over and over, searching for discrepancies. “There was nobody hiding in any bushes.”
That was the first clue. Subsequent clues grew bigger and bolder.
The agent found many additional statements that didn’t match up with reality either. And other agents were likewise nailing down evidence that disputed the official FBI narrative curated by FBI Las Vegas SAC Aaron Rouse and his inner circle. The official line continues to be the shooter, Stephen Paddock was a mysterious lone wolf who had no help killing 58 people and maiming another 500 from his hotel-suite perch on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay.
He gambled too and he was angry about something, though no one in charge of the probe is saying exactly what.
There is the story the FBI and Las Vegas officials along with MGM brass have carefully curated — the story they need you to believe about that deadly night.
Then there is the truth pasted together by FBI agents and Intelligence veterans with evidence the FBI brass seemingly wants to keep far away from the public record.
Neither story looks very similar. In fact the official narrative has not held up to the test of time even though that time frame has been just six months.
This is the story that they don’t want folks to know.
And soon you’ll understand why.
FBI brass at every turn fought to conceal credible evidence that countered the official, polished Las Vegas narrative. That includes painting Paddock as the sole mystery man of the attack, while shielding the identity of the real mystery man:
Hodge, a 37-year-old Australian living in the United States, went from media witness to person of interest “almost overnight,” one FBI agent said. Yet FBI brass led by Rouse refused agents permission to interrogate Hodge, who soon fled the city after the attack but did eventually return. Only to leave the country. Then return again. Unbeknownst to Hodge and FBI brass, Bureau insiders and intelligence veterans were ignoring a stand down order and tracking Hodge. And they tailed him to many interesting places following the Las Vegas deadly shooting. More on that later.
“He did a series of radio and media interviews in Australia that were compelling,” the FBI insider said. “He unknowingly divulged information during those interviews that only law enforcement knew about at the time.”
The FBI source said Hodge described details of the attack and tools Paddock used that were only known to a handful of federal and local law enforcement official at the time.
“We were still processing the crime scene and Hodge was discussing evidence no one else could have known about,” the FBI official said. “He was giving interviews to Australian media literally while this scene was unfolding. I’m talking minutes after Paddock’s body was found in the suite, Hodge was live on air on his phone.”
With the difference in time zones between Las Vegas and Australia, Hodge was being piped into homes during prime time, approximately 9 pm to 11 pm which was literally at the same time the Las Vegas mayhem was unfolding. Strangely, FBI agents noticed, Hodge never spoke to any media in the United States.
How did the Australian media locate Hodge so quickly? FBI insiders said he was posting on social media and then calling the media for interviews. The challenge for investigators is that soon after the shooting, Hodge began to scrub his Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts — not only of Vegas-related posts, but of many more.
“He began deleting his online DNA so to speak,” one intelligence veteran said, “Even though we were told not to we were able to recover many things that were deleted.”
But not before key facts were deciphered by agents. Hodge previously lived and worked in the casino industry on the Gold Coast of Australia. Stephen Paddock’s girlfriend, Mary Lou Danley, likewise previously lived and worked in the casino industry on the Gold Coast of Australia, sources said.
Strange. Small world.
Hodge’s perhaps most revealing radio interview — conducted by Triple M News in Melbourne — really raised eyebrows at the FBI. A portion of it is below:
Intelligence veterans isolated immediate red flags after combing this interview, sources said.
Hodge details how victims were mowed down by gunfire below Mandalay Bay as reported by his “team.” FBI sources said Hodge was likely staying alone at Mandalay Bay. Therefore, what “team?” Intelligence agents tracked Hodge after the shooting and never pinpointed any travel companions, officials said.
Hodge said Paddock used a special hammer to break the Mandalay Bay’s “double-pained” glass prior to the attack. That is true. But how did Hodge know about the hammer days before it was divulged to the public? How did Hodge know what kind of glass was employed by Mandalay Bay? And how did Hodge know the glass was punched out with a hammer instead of gun fire? Remember, Hodge was divulging these details live in Australia via phone literally minutes after the attack.
The shooting scene was over 400 yards away from Mandalay Bay. It was night and the venue was likewise dark except for the stage area. How could Hodge’s alleged “team” — who were supposedly fleeing the hotel in panic — see bodies dropping from 400 yards away in the dark through a mirrored exterior window?
Hodge said he had the room next to Paddock. But that room 32-134 was breached by Las Vegas Metro SWAT after Paddock was found dead on the other side of a door adjoining the two rooms. One large window was broken in Hodge’s supposed room too which police believe gunfire originated from.
How did Hodge know when Paddock checked into the hotel suite? How did he know Paddock? Records show Hodge checked into Mandalay Bay the day before the shooting. How would he know Paddock checked in days earlier?
“These are red flags you pick up when listening to Hodge’s interviews,” one FBI insider said. “His testimony changes too from interview to interview, you can see him adding new details, things that he never talked about initially. He’s telling a story and adding new wrinkles. That’s an important sign as well.”
Hodge makes several bizarre posts to his Facebook account in the immediate aftermath of the attack. Then he deletes the posts hours later. Among the strangest is the following in which he claims that he is staying in room 32134 and Paddock was in room 32135. The post is uploaded on Oct 2, 2017 at 00:27 PST, again, amid the unfolding chaos at Mandalay Bay.
Hodge elaborates on this revelation in his first media interview with Australian newspaper The Daily Advertiser story, which again, was published amid the chaos in Las Vegas:
“He was approached by a woman who had a frantic look on her face and urged Mr Hodge and his co-workers to run.
“At the woman’s urging, Mr Hodge rushed his team into an elevator and rode it down to the back of the casino.
“He and his team escaped from the hotel and hid in the bushes outside of the casino, ensuring they stayed close to the side of the building.
“Mr Hodge said he saw flashlights and then police, who encouraged them to walk to the other side of the building with their hands above their head.
“They were ushered back into the hotel, which was completely abandoned, and then encouraged to walk down the Las Vegas Strip until they reached safety.”
Hodge, in this interview, maintains police ushered his ‘group’ back into Mandalay Bay. But the hotel at that time was being evacuated. Also, Hodge claims his team was with him as he was taking the elevator to the 32nd floor — before he ushered people back into the elevator after a woman warned him of gunfire. But during radio interviews Hodge said his team members were already back in their rooms witnessing people in the concert venue getting cut down by bullets.
And how did Hodge know the shooter was next to his room, per the Facebook post, if he was ushered back into the elevator long before he reached his room at the opposite end of the hallway?
Also, it is important to note that The Daily Advertiser in Australia published this story during the time frame when Hodge claimed he was still hiding in the bushes outside Mandalay Bay.
In another Australian news account published just an hour later in the Courier & Mail, Hodge said the shooter was next to his room with a machine gun.
“Another Australian man staying at the Mandalay Bay Resort has spoken about his close call with the Las Vegas gunman – claiming he launched his murderous attack from the room next door.
Australian Brian Hodge, who previously worked at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast, claimed he was staying in the room next to the shooter on level 32 at the Las Vegas resort.
‘There were multiple people dead and multiple shooters. I was just hiding waiting for police to come get us.
“We were hiding in the bushes outside waiting for the police.” Mr Hodge said he was staying in room 32134 while the gunman was in room 32135.
“It was a machine gun from the room next to me,” he said.
“My floor is a crime scene. They killed a security guard on my floor.’”
FBI sources point out here that Hodge’s account had flipped. Now, according to his testimony to the Courier & Mail, the shooting started from the suite next to his room and the shooter was firing off what sounded like machine-gun fire.
“At that point in the investigation there was no public report that a security guard had been shot,” one FBI source said. “We wanted to know how Hodge knew this information at such an early stage. And why he thought the guard was killed. There was an early report that one police officer had been shot but Hodge specifically mentioned a security guard.
“That’s certainly worth following up.”
Also, federal law enforcement sources note that Hodge never mentioned arriving on the 32nd floor via the elevator. Instead, he was in his hotel room when the shooting began. The same hotel room with the broken window and a pair of new gloves found lying on the bed. (Paddock was wearing his gloves when he was found dead.)
In the Sydney Morning Herald, Hodge claimed police escorted him out of the hotel and told him the gunman was in room 32135, just one room away from his room.
“I’m just glad I didn’t make it back to my room,” Hodge said, failing to mention details about the elevator or being next to Paddock when the shooting commenced. Or hiding in bushes.
FBI agents wanted a chance to question Hodge about his ever-evolving eye-witness accounts: Was he next to the shooter or in the elevator? Was his room actually somewhere else in the hotel and Hodge was grandstanding or spreading misinformation as a cover? How did he know about the special hammer found in Paddock’s room days before law enforcement divulged that fact to the public?
Even a cabal of retired FBI agents and current intelligence officials echoed similar Hodge-related red flags to Las Vegas FBI brass and LVMPD in the weeks following the shooting, urging officials to green light the federal interrogation of Hodge. Intelligence agents sought permission to question him at his workplace or apartment in Los Angeles.
But officials refused, FBI sources said. To the dismay of many.
But why was Hodge untouchable?
Even the fact that the room Hodge maintains he rented had camera wires running from a food cart in the hallway — which the FBI maintains Paddock set up as security cameras in each room — into Hodge’s room (32-134).
See the photo below:
“There is so much physical evidence here that warrants Hodge as a person of interest that is’t hard to believe he wasn’t told to stay in Las Vegas after the shooting for questioning,” one FBI source said. “Especially with what we know about his cell phone.”
What did the FBI know about Hodge’s phone?
The three or four hours he said he was hiding in the bushes outside Mandalay Bay,” one FBI insider said. “We ran his cell phone during and after the shooting. He wasn’t anywhere near Mandalay Bay after the shooting.”
So if he wasn’t hiding in the bushes, where was Hodge while he was giving radio and newspaper interviews to foreign media about surviving the massacre?
Turns out, he went to great lengths to keep his locations hidden.
But the FBI knows.
And you will too in the next story (Part V) of True Pundit’s Fear and Lying in Las Vegas series.
Interesting. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas -- investigations be darned.
That's the truth! Grrrrr Me growling.
Things are about to get real interesting!
Supreme Court orders release of audio, video from Las Vegas shooting
The Nevada Supreme Court on Friday ruled that the Metropolitan Police Department must begin releasing body camera footage and 911 call audio from the Las Vegas mass shooting.
“The speed with which the Supreme Court made this decision reflects the complete absence of merit in the Metropolitan Police Department’s arguments,” Review-Journal Executive Editor Glenn Cook said Friday.
A Clark County judge ruled in February that Metro had 30 days to hand over all the records, which were requested days after the Oct. 1 shooting. But Metro contested it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and take much longer to produce the footage and audio.
In March, District Judge Richard Scotti gave Metro a total of six months to fulfill the request, but ordered the department to immediately begin releasing the records on a “rolling basis.”
Metro initially appealed Scotti’s ruling in District Court, but about a month later, the department changed its appeal to be with the Nevada Supreme Court. That move prompted District Judge Stefany Miley to accuse Metro of intentionally stalling the release of records, which she considered “gamesmanship.”
The Friday ruling means the department is compelled to begin releasing the footage and audio. No records were released Friday.
“It is my personal hope that every other Southern Nevada government entity that is flagrantly violating the Nevada Public Records Act will see this decision — and so many others that have preceded it — and finally understand the futility of their embrace of secrecy,” Cook said.

In January, the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other media organizations successfully sued for the release of autopsy records and search warrant records from the Oct. 1 shooting.
The officials in Vegas remind me of the deep state officials in Washington. I wonder if there is a connection.
I wonder too, JB. A lot of somethings about that Vegas shooting just don’t pass a smell test.
