Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dead at 87

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a diminutive yet towering women’s rights champion who became the court’s second female justice, died Friday at her home in Washington. She was 87.

Ginsburg died of complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer, the court said.

Her death just over six weeks before Election Day is likely to set off a heated battle over whether President Donald Trump should nominate, and the Republican-led Senate should confirm, her replacement, or if the seat should remain vacant until the outcome of his race against Democrat Joe Biden is known.

Let’s not lower ourselves and be like the liberals who cheered at Justice Scalia’s untimely death.  May she rest in peace as the Supreme Court pendulum swings to the right.

I may not have agreed with her politics, but Ruth Bader Ginsberg was a fighter! She fought cancer with courage and determination. I read a while back that she was concerned and dismayed at the ugliness coming from the treatment democrats reaped on judicial nominees during the confirmation process, so she was aware, and not onboard with the ugliness coming from the left. I'm sorry for her family and their loss. Praying for them.
