On Monday, a 17-year-old Florida teenager murdered a 13-year-old boy by first stabbing him repeatedly and then slitting his throat at a sleepover party, claiming later he watched jihadist videos and read the Koran "to give him courage to carry out his intentions.”

Corey Johnson was sleeping over at the home of Kyle Bancroft, also 17; also home at the time were Bancroft’s mother, Elaine Simon, Kyle’s 13-year-old brother Dane, and Dane’s friend, 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra, who celebrated his 13th birthday on Monday.
