A letter from FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s attorney (presented below) outlines his client’s joyful willingness to testify before any congressional committee that invites him, and welcomes the opportunity to clear his name. According to the Washington Post:
(Via WaPo) Peter Strzok, who was singled out in a recent Justice Department inspector general report for the politically charged messages, would be willing to testify without immunity, and he would not invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to any question, his attorney, Aitan Goelman, said in an interview Sunday. Strzok has become a special target of President Trump, who has used the texts to question the Russia investigation.
Goelman said Strzok “wants the chance to clear his name and tell his story.”
“He thinks that his position, character and actions have all been misrepresented and caricatured, and he wants an opportunity to remedy that,” the lawyer said.
[…] Goelman said he had not discussed any dates with lawmakers on when Strzok might appear at a hearing.
[…] Goelman, who is with the firm Zuckerman Spaeder, wrote in a letter to Goodlatte that a subpoena would be “wholly unnecessary.” (read more)
Won't invoke the 5th huh? That's what his lawyer says now, we'll see!
Has somebody been filleting fish? It has that odor, you know.
An unmistakable odor indeed!
Just because Strzok's willing to testify doesn't mean that he will tell the truth.
Liberals, never tell the truth, I don't believe that word is in their vocabulary,
So true Jerome. If their lips are moving, they are lying.
I laughed right out loud when I heard this. Wonder how he felt having his badge and gun taken away and escorted out of the FBI building by REAL cops! LMBO
FBI agent Peter Strzok ‘escorted’ from FBI building, lawyer confirms
Peter Strzok, the FBI agent under fire over a series of anti-Trump text messages, was "escorted" from the FBI building, his lawyer confirmed to Fox News on Tuesday.
News of Strzok's removal came after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz confirmed during a Congressional hearing earlier Tuesday that his office was looking into whether Strzok's anti-Trump bias played a role in the launch of the bureau's Russia probe.
Horowitz's report on the Clinton email investigation, which was released last week, revealed a text sent by Strzok to his then-colleague and lover Lisa Page.
The IG report said Page texted Strzok in August 2016, prior to then-candidate Donald Trump's election night win, saying "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!"
"No. No he won't. We'll stop it," Strzok responded.
FBI agent Peter Strzok subpoenaed to testify by House Judiciary Committee
Peter Strzok, the FBI agent facing criticism following a series of anti-Trump text messages, was subpoenaed to appear before the House Judiciary Committee next week, Fox News confirmed Friday.
Even though Strzok was already willing to go before Congress, the committee issued the order because he wouldn’t confirm a specific date to appear.
PETER STRZOK, FBI AGENT PULLED FROM MUELLER PROBE OVER ANTI-TRUMP TEXTS, OPEN TO TESTIFY TO CONGRESS
He’s now been subpoenaed to Capitol Hill on June 27 at 10 a.m. and his appearance will be closed, Fox News has learned.
He was also stripped of his security clearance.
Does that mean that he cannot divulge classified information he may know when he is asked by and investigator or committee?
No. Just means he can no longer access anything in the FBI or any other agency.
He’s a sleaze.
