DOJ sends wiretap materials to congressional investigators

Here we go folks!

Justice Department officials delivered materials to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees on Friday in connection to President Trump's claim that the Obama administration had his campaign headquarters wiretapped.

"The Department of Justice has complied with the request from leaders of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees and Judiciary Committees seeking information related to surveillance during the 2016 election," Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores told CNN.

Investigators on both committees are currently working to determine whether evidence exists to substantiate Trump's claim. The chairmen of both committees said separately earlier this week that they have yet to find proof that would corroborate the allegations coming from the White House.

"We need to figure out what happened here, there's a lot of unanswered questions. I just don't want anybody jumping to any conclusion on any side of this, other than the fact that we know that Obama didn't physically wiretap Trump Tower," House Intelligence a Committee Chair Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said Friday.

Nunez added that there are still a lot of "unknowns."

It was not immediately clear what kind of evidence the Justice Department submitted to congressional investigates. Agency officials had asked for an extension hours before their original deadline to submit information on Monday.

Robin, do we really have any congressional intelligence?

LOL I don't think that we do, Jerome. ;)

Congressional intelligence is quite possibly an oxymoron.  But, what else might you expect from a Congress (of baboons)?

They are a barrel full of monkeys!

Good morning!  A barrel of very corrupt, very dangerous monkeys for sure.
