UN Demands More Globalist Propaganda in School Textbooks

Under the direction of a known Communist Party operative from Bulgaria dogged by corruption charges, the scandal-plagued United Nations “education” agency released a new report demanding broad changes to school textbooks around the world. It is the latest shot across the bow aimed at parental rights, local control of education, and national sovereignty.

The goal of the “Global Education Monitoring Report” by the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is fairly transparent: accelerate the indoctrination of impressionable children worldwide with textbook propaganda promoting “global citizenship,” the discredited man-made global-warming theory, homosexuality, transgenderism, and outright totalitarianism. And according to the report itself, school textbooks are the best way to do that.

“Few instruments shape children’s and young people’s minds more powerfully than the teaching and learning materials used in schools,” begins the report, hitting on something understood by every mass-murdering tyrant from Chinese Communist Chairman Mao and Soviet Communist Joseph Stalin to National Socialist Adolph Hitler. “Textbooks convey not only knowledge but also social values and political identities.”

The UN report focuses on whether the UN's agenda for global totalitarian rule is being promoted vigorously enough in school books. The report seeks “to measure the extent to which global citizenship education and education for sustainable development, … , are mainstreamed in national education policies, curricula, teacher education and student assessments,” reads the first page of the revealing document. A German library of school textbooks from around the world was used for the study.

The report, published by UNESCO in December, celebrates the fact that, around the world, more and more captive students are being bombarded with globalist propaganda through textbooks. The document is filled with graphs gleefully highlighting the rapid expansion of textbooks that promote the UN's controversial causes across a range of issues: globalism, pseudo-environmentalism, gender confusion, multiculturalism, and more.

However, the report, also dubbed “Policy Paper 28,” laments that students in some countries are still not receiving a satisfactory dose of UN-backed indoctrination. Education authorities in numerous countries, including the United States, came under fire in the UNESCO document for failing to promptly incorporate the UN's latest demands, as outlined in the Agenda 2030 “Sustainable Development Goals.”

US Has Warmed 0.15 Degrees Per Decade Since 1895

EXCLUSIVE: 18 Years Of Energy Data Manipulation 'Entirely Unacceptable,' No Proof Doctoring Has Ended

Arctic Sea Ice The Same Thickness As 1940

In 1940, Arctic sea ice was two meters thick.  In 1958, Arctic sea ice was about two meters thick.

Arctic sea ice is now two meters thick.

All of the official fake news agencies and fake government agencies have been claiming that Arctic sea ice is getting thinner.

A Bush Administration official said last week that all the thick multi-year ice is gone.

As is almost always the case with government officials and journalists, they were lying. Nearly half of the Arctic is covered with multi-year ice.

New Study Confirms There's Still Less Global Warming Than Climate Models Predicted

Georgia Tech Climatologist Chooses 'Career Suicide' to Keep Her 'Scientific Integrity'

Curry is known for her scientifically astute explanations of the uncertainties in climate science. Indeed, she has been attacked as "anti-science" by other researchers who repeat the rote "scientific consensus" that man-made global warming is a catastrophic threat to humanity. In a cruel sort of irony, the universities — ostensibly the bastion of academic freedom — have become unsafe for those who, using good scientific methods, are skeptical of the received wisdom on climate change.

"A deciding factor was that I no longer know what to say to students and postdocs regarding how to navigate the CRAZINESS in the field of climate science," Curry wrote. "Research and other professional activities are professionally rewarded only if they are channeled in certain directions approved by a politicized academic establishment — funding, ease of getting your papers published, getting hired in prestigious positions, appointments to prestigious committees and boards, professional recognition, etc."

It may be worse than a joke, but liberal political orthodoxy demands it. No matter how many climate alarmist predictions fail, they keep pushing the same ideology, with the same agenda — increased government regulations. The solution is always the same, and it involves handing over power to the government.

The struggles of scientists like Curry illustrate just how dangerous this ideology is — to scientific integrity, as well as personal freedom.

Think of what we could do with $11.6 billion in useless 'climate change' spending

The U.S. government spent some $11.6 billion in 2014 on climate change research, technology, international assistance, and adaptation, according to the GAO (General Accountability Office).  This useless research actually harms Americans by advancing the ridiculous notion that mankind is responsible for the so-called warming of the Earth.  In fact, this idea is so foolish, given that the Earth has not warmed over the past approximately twenty years and we are now struggling today with record cold, that its proponents have changed their focus from global warming to extreme weather to climate change...always seeking the most effective way to scare people so as to assure a continued flow of pork.

It has not worked.

Only 36 percent of geoscientists and engineers believe that humans are creating a global warming crisis, according to a survey reported in the peer-reviewed Organization Studies. By contrast, a strong majority of the 1,077 survey respondents believe that nature is the primary cause of recent global warming and/or that future global warming will not be a very serious problem.

Why not re-allocate these "low ROI" climate change funds to other, more desirable causes?  Let's review a list.

Trump Meets Scientist Who Touts Benefits of CO2, Global Warming

President-elect Donald Trump met late last week with leading climate realist Dr. William Happer, a prominent professor of physics at Princeton University who says the planet will benefit from more carbon dioxide and that any global warming would be a positive development for humanity. Details of the January 13 meeting at Trump Tower were not released to the public, but analysts speculated that Trump may be considering the respected expert for a post in the incoming administration or soliciting advice.

Frantic climate alarmists were furious, taking to their keyboards to libel and demonize the respected scholar as well as President-elect Trump across the Internet. Trump supporters and climate realists, though, celebrated the news. Both sides speculated that it could be a sign that the incoming administration plans to follow through on Trump's campaign pledges to throw cold water on the tax-funded climate hysteria.

Trump, who has called the theory a “hoax,” also vowed to cancel the Communist China-backed United Nations “Paris Agreement” purporting to tackle alleged man-made warming through draconian economic and political measures. America should never give “foreign bureaucrats control over how much energy we use,” Trump said, vowing to rip up the UN climate schemes signed by Obama but never ratified by the U.S. Senate. His cabinet picks so far suggest he plans to follow through, analysts say.

That big CDC climate change conference… won’t be happening

“Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the Summit in February 2017,” CDC officials wrote, adding that the agency is “currently exploring” whether it could reschedule the event later in the year.

So what gives? The CDC isn’t saying, but I don’t think we’ll need to call in Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out. All of these plans appear to have been predicated on the assumption that President Hillary Clinton would have been settling in for her second month in the Oval Office by that point and she would have been out on the media trail praising the conference and promising to take action on whatever recommendations they came up with. In that event, the CDC and the conference attendees probably would have had a free hand to essentially write the next generation of government regulations on energy, industry and environmental concerns, handing them off to the White House for implementation.

Well… that didn’t work out so well, did it?

Global Warming Alarmist In Therapy To Handle Despair About Trump

Holthaus, a self described “Climate hawk,” operates the blog “Today in Weather & Climate” as well as hosting his own podcast about global warming. He has almost 65,000 followers on Twitter.

“I’m saying this b/c I know many ppl feel deep despair about climate, especially post-election,” Holthaus stated on Twitter. “I struggle every day. You are not alone … There are days where I literally can’t work. I’ll read a story & shut down for rest of the day. Not much helps besides exercise & time.”

Holthaus acknowledged that he was seeing a counselor to cope with his feelings of grief about Trump’s election.

SOURCE: Career EPA Staffers Will Undermine Trump, Leak To The Press

An unnamed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) source warned that agency employees will leak information about “actions they deem ill-advised or illegal” to environmental groups and the media, Politico reports.

The unnamed career staffer, whose identity Politico keeps anonymous, warned EPA employees “who stay to fight actions they deem ill-advised or illegal by quietly providing information of what is happening inside their agencies to advocacy groups and the media,” Politico reported.

Trump Bans EPA Employees From Providing Updates On Social Media…

Because he’s trying to freeze any action by the EPA while he evaluates it.

President Donald Trump has banned employees of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from giving social media updates and speaking with reporters, according to the Associated Press.

The social media ban is part of a series of new restrictions at the EPA under the Trump administration. Huffington Post reported Monday that EPA grants had been frozen, with agency employees barred from speaking of the matter.

Myron Ebell, who lead the Trump EPA transition, confirmed the freeze to ProPublica.

“They’re trying to freeze things to make sure nothing happens they don’t want to have happen, so any regulations going forward, contracts, grants, hires, they want to make sure to look at them first,” Ebell told ProPublica.

EPA’s Top Priority Should Be to Eliminate Bogus Global Warming Models

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s confirmation hearing to head up the Environmental Protection Agency provided a glimpse into how the agency would operate under new leadership.

Critical reforms should rein in regulations that have little scientific backing and environmental benefit. A top priority for the EPA and the new administration should be eliminating the use of the social cost of greenhouse gas emissions.

Over the last eight years, the Obama administration has relied on a metric known as the social cost of carbon to justify many of its global warming regulations. In addition, the administration recently began to consider similar metrics regarding methane and nitrous oxide emissions.

Here’s how it works.

EPA Pardons Itself from Toxic Spill in Colorado, New Mexico

How convenient.

The Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday it will not repay claims totaling more than $1.2 billion for economic damages from a mine waste spill the agency accidentally triggered in Colorado, saying the law prohibits it.

The EPA said the claims could be refiled in federal court, or Congress could authorize payments.

But attorneys for the EPA and the Justice Department concluded the EPA is barred from paying the claims because of sovereign immunity, which prohibits most lawsuits against the government.

EPA spokeswoman Nancy Grantham defended the agency, saying it “worked hard to find a way” to cough up the money but its “hands are tied.”

Legal Insurrection explained what is actually happening:

EPA To Alaskans In Sub-Zero Temps: Stop Burning Wood To Keep Warm

The New York Times reports the Environmental Protection Agency could soon declare the Alaskan cities of Fairbanks and North Pole, which have a combined population of about 100,000, in “serious” noncompliance of the Clean Air Act early next year.

Like most people in Alaska, the residents of those frozen cities are burning wood to keep themselves warm this winter. Smoke from wood-burning stoves increases small-particle pollution, which settles in low-lying areas and can be breathed in. The EPA thinks this is a big problem. Eight years ago, the agency ruled that wide swaths of the most densely populated parts of the region were in “non-attainment” of federal air quality standards.

That prompted state and local authorities to look for ways to cut down on pollution from wood-burning stoves, including the possibility of fining residents who burn wood. After all, a declaration of noncompliance from the EPA would have enormous economic implications for the region, like the loss of federal transportation funding.

The problem is, there’s no replacement for wood-burning stoves in Alaska’s interior. Heating oil is too expensive for a lot of people, and natural gas isn’t available. So they’ve got to burn something. The average low temperature in Fairbanks in December is 13 degrees below zero. In January, it’s 17 below. During the coldest days of winter, the high temperature averages -2 degrees, and it can get as cold as -60. This is not a place where you play games with the cold. If you don’t keep the fire lit, you die. For people of modest means, and especially for the poor, that means you burn wood in a stove—and you keep that fire lit around the clock.

Insanity.  Hmmm…breathing in small particle pollution or freezing to death.  Let me think.  k/r…

EPA targets key ingredient in pizza, bread in latest eleventh-hour rule

The Environmental Protection Agency is targeting a key ingredient for making pizza and bread in its latest last-minute regulation before President Obama steps down.

The proposed regulation published Wednesday would make the emissions standards for industrial yeast makers much more strict.

The EPA said beer, champagne and wine makers, all of whom use some form of yeast, are safe for now. The real targets are those who produce high levels of hazardous air pollutants. It's not the bread, bagel and pizza makers who are targeted under the rules, but the less than a dozen big plants that produce the yeast needed to produce the valuable bread-based products.

'Climate Change' - Is There Anything It Can't Do?

The Leftist obsession about the non-existent "problem" of "climate change" may have passed its high-water mark, legislatively (except of course in California), but the madness lives on in the pages of the Los Angeles Times, where this gem appeared today:

From numerous studies, scientists know that climate destablization — from the burning of fossil fuels in places such as the U.S., China and India — is causing drought in the Middle East. In fact, for the last decade or so, Syria and the eastern Mediterranean have been in the midst of their worst drought in nine centuries. The effect has been to turn Syria’s once-productive soil into hard-baked clay...

Climate change as an underlying cause of social conflict is rarely front and center in the news, but it has been documented by a variety of experts....

In Aleppo, the blasted concrete walls are not just an outcome of conflict. They are also, unexpectedly, part of the cause...

So now you know. Concrete -- not the business-as-usual murderousness of the Muslim Arabs, which has been going on since once-Christian Syrian fell to the Islamic conquest. And it's all our fault, as usual.

PAPER: ‘Overwhelming Whiteness’ Is Holding Us Back In The Fight Against Global Warming

Environmentalists need to move past the “overwhelming whiteness” that is keeping them from winning the debate on global warming, according to an article published on the news site Quartz.

“And in order to achieve broad, collaborative action, the mainstream environmental movement will need to take a hard look at how its overwhelming whiteness has thus far hobbled its efforts,” they wrote.

Black Lives Matter activists are reflecting the wider push for more racial overtones in anti-fossil fuels environmental protests, demanding reparations for “environmental racism” and “food apartheid.” Activists want military spending be cut and more black people be given jobs producing green energy and sustainable foods.

“Clearly, people of color are invested in working to address climate change and other environmental issues,” the Quartz authors argue. “And yet the mainstream environmentalist movement has failed them, largely because it has been designed by and for a white, upper-middle-class demographic.”

“Immediate and significant actions must be taken to reach these communities of color who reflect the new socio-political landscape of the United States,” they wrote. “Given that people of color are largely supportive of ameliorative actions to address climate change, and that they are potentially less swayed by political ideologies regarding climate change, climate messages should prioritize people of color as essential allies in the climate-change mitigation movement.”

Environmentalists Hand Out Condoms to Protest Feared Trump-Era Overpopulation

An environmental group handed out 10,000 free "endangered species condoms" at New Year's Eve events and on college campuses nationwide to mark 2017 in a show of protest against President-elect Trump.

The Center for Biological Diversity said the condom giveaway was meant to highlight overpopulation amid fears of Trump policies on contraception along with fears of what could happen to protected wildlife species under his administration.

“Many women are already worrying about what life under President Trump is going to mean for access to affordable birth control.  It’s a very real possibility that the Affordable Care Act will be gutted and contraception costs will skyrocket,” (to what?...$5/month at Walmart?) Leigh Moyer, the center’s population organizer, said in a statement. “Human population growth drives the majority of environmental problems, so making it harder to prevent unplanned pregnancy isn’t good news for women or for wildlife.”

The enviro-condoms project -- using vegan, fair-trade condoms free of animal by-products -- has been around since 2009, with contraceptives bearing phrases such as "wrap with care... save the polar bear" and "use a stopper… save the hopper."

MORON ALERT: Kamala Harris Says Transportation Is a Human Right

Junior United States Senator from California and progressive heroine Kamala Harris wrote the following tweet on Tuesday:

Here's the truth: infrastructure spending isn't a transportation issue for most Americans — it's a human rights issue.

— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) January 25, 2017

By Harris's logic, spending American tax dollars on infrastructure furthers the cause of human rights just as much as our rights to keep and bear arms, free speech and press, a trial by jury, or not being subjected to unwarranted searches and seizures. Here's the problem: Nothing in the United States Constitution suggests that transportation is a right given to us by our Creator, nor is it explicitly mentioned in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In response to Harris's absurd tweet, Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro said the following:

Please name the Americans starving at night because of potholes.

It is my prayer, now that Trump is president the UN's influence in America's education system will be severely curtailed, and quickly.  What an intentional messy disaster of chaos Obama has left this Republic in.  Not to mention the rest of the world wherever he touched is on fire.

He is going after them, Jerome! I think in a big way. This is just the beginning. Yay!
